Base to lighten up the eyes

I have naturally darker lids and when I wear a lighter shadow, or when I do a defined look with a lighter inner corner graduating to the darker outer corner, it doesn't show up as well on mine. I use UDPP but I'm wondering if I need a colored base to lighten up my eyes.

I've never tried a PP, is that the answer? Or something else? Products and color suggestions, pls? TIA

Painterly pp if you're nw and Soft Ochre if you're nc, basically. Painterly is porcelaine pink skin toned and Soft Ochre is the yellow version. Both are matte.
If you'd rather go with a shimmery base, Bare Study is the pinkish white gold and Rubenesque is more gold. Both are quite sheer.
I use paintpots every day, I love them! You only need a thin layer and the shadows will stay on the whole day!

Am I the only one that doesn't like the paint pots or painterly tubes?

I found the painterly tube of bare canvas I initially tried for this purpose too difficult to use and wound up taking it back. After I apply UDDP primer potion, I use bisque [matte, bone color] all over lid and into the crease as my base.
