Battle of the Bays: Event!

Okay you guys, our department is having our annual Battle of the Bays event later this month! This is my favorite event ever: Each bay collaborates a "theme" to all dress like on the same day and whoever comes up with the best idea and costumes wins! It doesn't have to be Christmas themed, as long as everyone looks "the part". The prizes for the winners this year are AWESOME.

Some bay themes from last year were french maids, wind-up dolls, and Victoria's Secret Angels.

I have some ideas but just in case someone from my work in another bay gets on here I don't want them to know what it is!

Do you guys have any great ideas for themes? I want our bay to win!!!

Last year we (MAC, Estee Lauder and Dior) did "Icicles" as our bay theme. Everyone dressed in white, wore white or frosty makeup and the whole bay was decorated with silver and white Christmas icicles, garland, "snow" (white fluffy batting) and stars...it's important that EVERYONE in your bay participate so rally the troops and get them excited! We ended up doing the other lines' makeup so they would look like us...it was a blast and we won!!

For something X-Mas themed (even though it doesn't HAVE to be) I like giz2000's theme it's sexy. elf theme is cute too.

For something non-Christmas themed I'd say something exotic ... like maybe animal theme cuz you know how animal print is "in" again hehe. Ooo or belly dancer theme (sorry I'm a belly dancer in my mind) or like a Bollywood theme would be good cuz you guys could totally go crazy with that.

"Bollywood" is the Indian term equivalent of "Hollywood." It's known for it's super-lengthy movies that incorporates regular acting and musicals with colorful clothes (saris). I think it would be a nice theme but finding nice saris at a really inexpensive price might pose a problem. hth!

BAAHAHAHA LOOK AT THOSE TWO GUYS IN WHITE! They're like "hey mamma wanna come daaaance with us?" By the time this event comes around, we will be having a guy in our bay, just so you know.

I love this idea, though! It's soooo glamorus and detailed! Thanks for the Bollywood info too.

LOL well...I'd be 80's Rock Star Barbie, but all the othe girls in the bay would be different Barbies!
