Beau quad vs. Tempt Me: Hard to Please e/s

Ok, I hope this doesnt sound crazy...but hard to please is in both of these quads. I have been trying to compare the two and I swear they don't look the same. The h2p in the Tempt me looks a lot darker than the Beau. And when I swiped each of them, it took more swipes of the beau e/s to get it as dark as the tempt me. Is is just me or did anyone else notice this.?? :p

and this is beau:

they are both kinda sheer, but they are completly different IMG+HO, and therefor I think that you could def keep them both

I wonder how come it's different, if it's supposed to be the same shadow? Do things tend to vary according to "batches"? This is worrisome.

wait you ment the shadow itselve...sorry I'm a bimbo for not reading

seems to me that they aren't that different, but it's possible that the shadow can be a bit different in texture, and will give a different finish

Yea im just referring to hard to please in both quads. I dont know maybe its just me..but when i took a swatch with my finger i needed to do it like 2-3 time to get the beau color the same as one swipe of the tempt me...it just seems like it may be more frosted than the tempt me quad. I tend to overanalyze...lol.

Star to try to answer your comment...I guess since the tempt me quad is older it may have been reformulated.....hmm here i just checked the color stories...even the description isnt the same:

BEAU: Hard to Please - Tarnished Silverplate with yellow/white frost (frost, LE)
TEMPT ME:Hard To Please - Beiged-gray (Frost)

Well I guess they just added more frosting to the new one...ok i will just have to keep it then..lmao. (as if I didnt plan to do that already...haha)

mac tends to do this quite a bit.
As son_risa actually stated about the "new" blue pigment compared to the "old" blue pigment the older only took one swipe for a lot of color whereas the new blue pigment takes a few swipes to achieve the same depth/color.

They change the texture, or the finish or whatever, to try to get a different but simila look, so thats probably the case here. I have both, Ill test them later and see what I can come up with, but Im pretty sure this is the case.
HTH!

i think the quad you might be thinking about for similarities is the Tesae Me quad which has the blue color or something.

edit: oops. didn't read it all the way. lol. you were just looking at one shadow.

THANK YOU...so much for checking this out for me....A-HA! So I am not going totally crazy..lol....I think eventually layering the beau it will look the same...but yea if u put the pans side by side..the Beau quad is more reflective. And i know...it does feel a little different.

Well thanks again for everyone's imput....I just didnt know if it was the particular quad I had or not. And thanks for posting the swatches for me...very helpful!!! Seeing it on the skin makes a big difference..and now i know its not just me. Ok ok...i will just :have: to keep them both! LOL

You're definately not crazy!! I saw the diff immediately...I agree that if you layer the one from 4beau youll get the same effect, but you'll also use more product which sucks...

Neways, glad I could help!!

I depanned my beau bc I didnt like forgery and already had hard to please, but I ended up swapping the sugarlily and pink like paris as well bc I felt they had little to no pigment on my skin. Maybe HTP was the same? Maybe the whole quad was a little light?
