hi everyone

I'm just wondering if any of you can recommend a colour that is similar to how Beauty Marked looks "in the pan". I love that sort of deep purple/red-shimmer... colour but when-ever i wear it, it looses all it's shimmer and the colour is like a muted gray-black soot. i dont know what I'm doing wrong! I got it as part of my Novel Twist cool eyes pallete but I just don't know how to use it to make it right.

Any tips? Or perhaps recommend a colour that is similar? Thanks alot

I find the best way to use Beauty Marked is to use it on top of something else. I like layering it on top of Hepcat e/s. I've also heard it looks good on top of Artifact p/p, though I haven't tried that one. Hope this helps a little!

i know EXACTLY what your saying. I always felt like everytime i put on BM it was just black?
A purple base will DEF help that. I use those shadow sticks from HIP and it shows up really well. so a purple base is the best way to go.

I saw a suggestion on here a few months ago to try using a red base like Flammable paint under it. I bought the Flammable paint and tried it out last night, as a matter of fact. It REALLY helped bring out the red shimmer AND the shadow looked more like the purple it's supposed to be! It was defintiely a real eye catcher! HTH!

Aside from the base trick, a somewhat similar eyeshadow you can try is NARS Night Fever. The colour is not identical (more on the red side, I find), but it's a pretty good substitute and the sparkles show up amazingly well. I love the sparkly NARS eyeshadows...soooooo pretty...

I've used it over Artifact. Definitely pat it on over the artifact and that will help make it look like it does in the pot. Good luck!

2nd this. I've seen pics, and it looks like a great substitute for Beauty Marked. I definitely want to get it!
One thing you could try would be putting Beauty Marked over a sticky base like CCB. I imagine if you patted it over it, the true color would come out more.

I remember someone describing this colour as CRAPtastic....LOL.... and I agree!!! This colour is one of the prettiest in pot awful on eyes colours I have owned. I traded for NARS Night Fever..... much better IMHO!!

But if you just cant bear to part with it get some Flammable paint and use that as a base under Beauty Marked - that'll do the trick perfectly
