Beauty Sleep vs. Slip Pink

Sorry, another q about similar shadows. I know Beauty Sleep is quite a bit lighter in the pan, but I'd like to know how much lighter when applied. Also, does the velvet texture stay on when applied? Slip Pink doesn't for me, which is a bit disappointing but I keep it for the colour. I don't think I'd do the same for Beauty Sleep tho, cuz I can find another texture similar in colour I'm sure.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I returned Beauty Sleep. Looks just like Nars Fathom. I'm an NW20... swatched it when it came in the mail today... it barely showed up on my skin (I swatched on top of UDPP) and I'm telling you I PACKED it on. The sparkles didn't stay on.

Sucky! Sounds like how Slip Pink is. *sigh* Well, another to cross off my list. A good thing, tho. =D Thanks!

i think if you like the colour, you might want to look on eBay for MAC Rio de Rosa e/s, it's similar in colour to Beauty Sleep (no real shimmer though) but it's very pigmented and stays on pretty well! HTH!

^ Thanks Anthem! I've always seen it on eBay, but never thought about it. It looks a bit darker than Beauty Sleep, or is that just bad eBay pics? *lol* Or does it show up lighter on the lids?

Lol, this is exactly what I was thinking. The way the MA put it on me yesterday was a bit nicer than Nars Fathom though, so I still decided to get it.

Nars Fathom was the worst $21+tax I'd ever spent.

Really? What was so bad about it? Does it not stay true to the colour in the pan, like Beauty Sleep?

it's gotta be just bad eBay pics haha, but in eBay seller's defense, i have serious trouble getting MAC stuff to show up true to it's colour on film. i looked at it at my counter, and i had to pick it up and see what the name was because i could have sworn that it was Rio de Rosa, if that tells you anything about it's similarity

Got Rio de Rosa last week and I'm loving it! It's sheer on me but when I tried it wet it was this awesome vibrant pink! Very different from Beauty Sleep but I'm sure I can find a base to bring it out better. Thanks again for the suggestion Anthem!

I could seriously not get it to show up on me. My friend with a paler complexion tested it and it looked great on her, so I assumed it would on me, but I have not put it to use yet.

I couldn't agree more!! Another NW20 stepping up to say boo to Nars Fathom. Gorgeous in the pot, worked on my hand, but I cannot get it to show on my lids no matter what I put under it! I played with Beauty Sleep the other day at the counter, and wondered aloud to the clerk the exact same question about Beauty Sleep vs. Slip Pink. Actually, I have no problems with Slip Pink, but Beauty Sleep was too similar to rationalize the purchase.
