Hi! My name is Cheryl and i'm 14. I know, I'm young.
i currently live in Hong Kong, but I used to live in Canada. (Alberta)
I've just recently started to "like" makeup! I've been collecting makeup for about a month now, and MAC products really appeal to me :]
I'm only 14 and i don't have a job, only my allowance, so i can't get a lot.
I don't have anything from MAC yet, although i might get something next week! I might get something from the neo sci-fi collection, or a pigment (melon?)
I'm going to Canada for the summer, and i will get a lot of stuff. I may get a brush set from the colour forms collection (will they sell it at the Bay?), and i may even get a foundation from there (right now i use drugstore)

are there any items that you recommend for a beginner like me?

thanks,
Cheryl

Welcome to the site! I would suggest getting a pigment like Vanilla-it's probably one of the the versatile products MAC makes. You can use it as a highlight on your brow/cheek bones, you can put it in your lotion, in your lip gloss, etc. We're happy to have you!

Hi Cheryl and welcome!

I agree, Vanilla pigment is wonderful stuff. You can't go wrong with Springsheen Blush which works beautifully on almost any skin tone. I also love Beaux lipgloss as well as natural neutral eyeshadows like Woodwinked, Saddle and Haux.

Have fun and see you around the forum

Hello and welcome! For a pigment that's NOT vanilla, I suggest you check out Jardin Aires. It's limited edition, but it was out with Heatherette and will be rereleased again later this summer.

Hi Cheryl, as of the moment, with the exchange rate, it might be cheaper to buy in Hkg Duty Free shop than in Canada. I have checked the price of 182 brush and it is HK$400 at TST DFS and HK$450 at FACES in Ocean Terminal.

Happy to have you.
