Beige-ing is my staple eyeshadow primer but you cant even tell its there when applied (NC30 for reference)

It depends on your complexion. I bought shimmersand first and love it. I am NW40-ish. I think that if you have fairer skin you may want to go with beige-ing.

I'm NW 20 and I use Beig-ing. I use it all the time. I haven't tried shimmersand though.

i agree with cosMEtix & aziajs. beige-ing is lighter & has no shimmer. i have both & i tend to reach for beige-ing more.

Beige-ing is the best base because it if so versatile. For someone just starting out I would advise it because you can use it with anything without being overly shimmery.

It does; however, when you put a matte/velvet shadow on top and you pack it the shadow it mutes the shimmer. Shimmersand is harder to mute the shimmer if you put the same eye shadows on top.

Yeah mine is pretty shimmery as well. I prefer the Paint in Untitled for more matte look.
