Being watched while on the computer

My husband drives me crazy!! When I am on the computer he will work in the office over and over again just to give me kisses. You might think "Oh how sweet!". NO it's not sweet! If he is on the computer he hates to be bugged! He also hates for me to bother him when he is playing video games.
He mostly likes to come in when I am on Specktra. It drives him nuts that I post pics on here. I have told him over and over again that it's just showing off your makeup.
If wanted to watch me on the computer be my guest and sit next to me but DON'T check up on me and come in the read what I am posting.

When I had my brothers living with me they did the same damn thing! They would even read out loud what I was typing!

Now my son has picked up the habit and if I am on AIM he will ask me over and over again who I am talking with.

I know I am being a bit touchy about but it drives me crazy.
This is part of my "me" time. KWIM

I am not doing anything wrong. I am mainly here or on a few other makeup forums. So it's not like I am feeling guilty I just don't like to be watched.

So, does anyone "watch" you while you are on the computer?

My husband has a program on his computer that lets him see whats on my computer at any given time. Our computers are on a network.. He gives me such a hard time about my passion for make-up.

omg, don't you just hate that girlies??? My goodenss, my brother, my mum, my dad, even my nana comes in continuously and "talks" to me. Really what they come into my room for is to see what i'm writing, what i'm doing and stuff on the net! it drives me insane especially when they stand there for like hours on end reading all this stuff i write on here! Talk about wanting some PRIVACY!! obviously they just don't get it!!

GOD I HATE THAT TOO!!!! my mother is always hovering doing that same thing too

My parents and my brother always do that.I like it when they sit and talk with me but they don't have to stand over my shoulder.They should trust me more,all I do on the computer is chat with friends and go on forums.

Ughhh I HATED when I lived at home and my parents would do that. I'd get frustrated and then they'd be all, "well, what are you HIDING?" Nothing! I just don't need you reading everything over my shoulder. "My" time is exactly what it is. My roomate is forever doing that, too. He almost makes my feel guilty for being on these sites! My boyfriend teases me in a loving way about my love for eBay, MAC, and LUSH and the forums, but he NEVER reads over my shoulder!

my bf actually doesnt do that... i never even thought about it... hmmm, maybe he does and i dont notice... im going to have to start noticing these things more often!

OMG, how funny!! my husband does the same thing. it drives me nuts.he gets so agrovated when i come in to talk to him while hes on the puter too!! ha ha. now when he comes in i just minimize it, turn around and go mmm hmm, really, o yah, ok.. and he gets the hint and leaves. he usually comes in on when im on myspace. which drives me nuts, cause thats a whole nother world, and honeslty i dont want him reading comments people left or see me looking at other peoples pages. im kinda wierd about that.

it was really bad when i lived at home. my mom would do it just to piss me off. and when i would say something, it was the same thing " what do you have something to hide, blah blah blah.. " oooo i hated it. i got to the point where i didnt even get online anymore at home... ah its so nice to be married.

My husband will come over every now and then to see what I'm up to - when he sees it is makeup or some other message board I belong to, he seems disappointed. That's when I tell him that he missed me looking at porn sites 5 minutes earlier.

thing is, with my parents and stuff if you minimize your screen once there in your room, it seems kinda supsious and then questions such as "What are you doing,", "what were you looking at", "when you are gonna stop using the computer" etc... are gonna come... I should padlock my door shut or something!!

That's why I love Expose on Macs!

I usually have a lot of windows open, so seeing them all at once makes them pretty much unreadable. Enabling the Dashboard works okay for this purpose too, but it's not as good as Expose

My husband does this too, drives me crazy. I minimize, distract or anything else I can think of. I need my privacy- it is such a private thing posting- I mean I can open up here about my makeup obsession much easier than I can to my hubby. Now I also clear my history when I finish. I hate having people hover over my shoulder. I also hate to talk on the phone in front of people, it drives me nuts.
