Hi Sushi_Flower, I'm Indian too! (NC42 Studio Tech)
I have found that you will have the most luck with brands that have a broader colour spectrum (of Foundations etc) other than Light, Medium 1, Medium 2 & Dark.
I have found that Prescriptives, Becca, MAC, Clinique and Christian Dior have a pretty good range of colours. I guess it depends on what 'finish' you want. For eg, when I had pretty ordinary skin that was covered in old blemish scars - Christian Dior cream foundation, Prescriptives Exact Matchstick and Prescriptives Loose Powder did the trick for me - thats when I wanted a matte, even finish.
I did use MAC Studio Tech and concealer for some time, but I found the shades to orangey and I didnt like the finish (too matte if thats possible) - it made my skin look really dry and thick, and did nothing for my sheeny t-zone.
But now that I no longer have any old blemish scars and my skin has majorly cleared up, I find I like the flawless, dewey, radiant look, and right now I am using YSL Loose Powder and YSL Concealer - both are excellent for me - they just give me light coverage and the powder makes my skin glow without looking shiny, yet looking matte - hard to explain - but I am loving YSL right now.
