Best dark (black) shadow for outer V?

I like black tied because it has a little bit of shimmer to it. Carbon is a little too matte.

it depends if you want shimmer or not. personally i like black tied. matte eyeshadows can be hard to blend.

Black tied. I like the finish of matte shadows but matte black is really hard to blend.

Carbon. The best black ever. Just a touch really deepens the crease.

I prefer black tied to carbon (I don't like matte e/s) but others good shimmery blacks are beauty marked (with purplish shimmers) or Cloudburst (from the Blue storm LE, with teal shimmers)

I'd chose Black Tied over Carbon, it's easier to apply and it has a blit of silver shimmer to it whick I love. Carbon isn't bad though..depends on what finish you want too because carbon is your straight forward matte black

I think you need both.
So you have one with a shimmer and one without. You can never have
enough MAC ; )

Make Up Forever's Black Diamonds-it's a smoother texture, a rich sparkling black. I liked it much better than Black Tied.
