Best e/s finishes?

Mac's eyeshadows come in every finish from matte to lustre to veluxe to frost....it can get confusing.

Can someone tell me the major differences (other than the obvious ones), like veluxe vs. lustre, or velvet vs. matte?

Also, which ones work best, are nicest, most recommended?

As for which ones work best, that depends upon what you like and what effect or look you're after. Veluxe & veluxe pearl are my favourites but the reformulated frosts are also winning my heart.
