Best MAC e/s primer? (Experiment in pics...)

I was on the hunt for a new e/s primer that would hold the sparkle of my BE glimmer eyeshadows. Know how everyone say they fade away too fast? Well when I work a 12 hour shift by hour 3 I no longer have the sparkle. So I was on the hunt for the perfect primer. I know for a fact UD PP didn't work for me. Then I went to MAC paints. Then someone said to try MAC Fawntastic CCB. But someone else said try the shade sticks. I didn't even want to like the shade sticks.

So I tried it on my eyes. The CCB mattified the e/s... As if I applied it wet. It was too creamy on my eyes. The shade stick really held the sparkle. I was shocked. So then I decided to do an experiment and try it on my hand. Here's the pics labled. See how the shade stick really makes it sparkle? I think I'm switching to shadesticks. WOW. (Used BE glimmer in chameleon in the pic.)

I definately recomend to anyone to give the shade sticks a try. I did this on my eyelids too and after a few hours the shade stick side was going strong and the CCB primer side looked oily. I'll be switching to shade sticks and ditching my MAC paints.

UDPP is amazing. You can also use it with Shadesticks and Paints if you want a colored base.

Interesting. Paints creased on me, shadesticks and CCBs are to "moist" to hold my shadows. I love UD PP and I also like Paula Dorf eye primer alot. I've tried everything...Benefit FYeye, Lumene, etc.

But, I'm glad you found a basethat works for you

I dont recommend Bare Canvas Paint at all for shimmery, sure it will make eyeshadow hold like crazy but as for it making the color pop, i dont really like it it has a tendency to make colors look somewhat faded...You're absolutely right, the shadesticks are amazing in terms of color vibrancy..another trick i do is apply the shadestick (preferably a neutral one) on the entire eyelid, and then close to my lashline, avoiding the crease area, i apply a CCB to REALLY make the color of the eyeshadow pop! This technique works very well and you get awesome color pay-off!

I will proudly like to say that the UD PP kicks serious ass!!! I wore it before, during and after 9 hours of work in the hot sun as a theme park rides supervisor in Florida and it STILL stayed on without creasing and as bright as when I put it on at 10am!!! Truely impressed, will definately buy again and again!!!! =D

You should also include a comparison of MAC Bare Canvas Paint with the Fawntastic CCB OVER it... This is the base I use and it kicks ass!
