We have talked a lot about bad experiences, but what are some of your best experiences?

I had an MA let me view a collection beforehand because I was from out of town. I really havent had any bad experience besides being ignored.

I haven't really had any bad experiences... one time someone didn't seem thrilled to take my exchange but she just might have been having a bad day and didn't vocalize anything negative to me ~ just wasn't her usual smiley self. And I've *never* had a bad experience at a Pro Store (Van).

My fav MAC MA gave me a jar of Coco Beach and the cover of the D'Bohemia look book for free! And I don't have to ask her for the upcoming collections, she's the one who tells me everything!

I love her!

As I said before, I had a really cool MA who took her time trying to teach me how to apply falsies. When she was done with my make-up, I was so happy! She did a fantastic job. I loved her attitude. She was hilarious!

So far all of my experiences have been good, thats why I keep going back...they always pick out good colors for me and the service has usually been really good. I also love the fact that every counter and store in Houston is empty from customers when I go, it helps them remember you more.

I haven't really had any extreme experiences either way. In general, I get pretty good service at MAC-- not remarkable, but not the horror stories I've read/heard about. I appreciate it a lot when SAs throw in little samples, one time I got a sample of Microfine Refinisher and that LE shimmery body lotion (Moisturegleam? I forget the name) without even having to ask. But in general, the SAs I encounter are pretty nice and try to be helpful.

I haven't had a really bad experience, thank goodness! I got hold of a guy on the phone in New York who acted like I was wasting his time, but other than that I'd say my MAC experiences have all been positive. The worst thing that happens is that I sometimes get passed over for people who are taller that I am! (I'm barely 5'0") It's aggravating, but I'm aggressive enough now that I'm older to counteract that lol! And that happens to me everywhere, so I don't hold it against MAC

Most of the time I go everyone is really nice and helpful and I really appreciate that!

BEST ever was at the store in downtown Chicago.

this guy was so nice, just sweet and soft spoken. His name was Scott. He remembered me when I went back a long time later, and we only spoke a short time. In that short time he game me the best advise , and showed me colors I can never put down. The next time I went back SCOTT WAS GONE. I cant find him, or get info on where he is now.

My mom and I still talk about him, "What do you think Scott would like" "I bet scott works as a makup artisit for someone famous and had to leave mac" we act like he is a part of our family, and yet I only spoke to him for 15 min. The second time I saw him he was busy with another customer but still made a point to say Hi and said my name. It really meant a lot. He was so genuine!!

SO ANYONE THAT GOES TO THE CHICAGO OAK ST. MAC- if you ever knew a Scott, or know anything about him tell me.

I seriously have been looking for him like a beloved lost pet. HAVE YOU SEEN MY SCOTT?

The best experience I ever had was tearing open boxes in the back room of the NYC Pro store because I arrived to pick up Ornamentalism, Palettes, Stashettes and Treasures and someone neglected to put them out. Bruce (the manager) knew I made a special trip for these goodies so he invited me into the back to open up random boxes and just pick what I wanted. He was a complete sweetheart about it and we had a great time back there, chatting and going through a sea of MAC as it were a fantasy christmas morning.

I met up with a fantastic SA about two months ago or so, but I can already tell we're soulmates.

Anyway, I went wild at the counter and spent several hundred dollars - I was feeling blue, and what better way to get over an ex-boyfriend than go to MAC and blow money? Anyway, I spent an obscene amount of money and the girl asked me if she could add me to her personal book. I said sure, not expecting much out of it, but she gave me two weeks to play, and then called me at home and wanted to know how everything she had helped me pick out was working, and was I unhappy with anything because if I was, she would send me out whatever I wanted, and then I could come back and return anything I was unhappy with at my leisure. (I live about an hour and a half from Nordstrom)

I thanked her and told her I loved everything. She told me she'd ring me back in a few days, as they had something coming up. Sure enough, about a week later, she called to tell me about the Glitter Bar event, and did I want to come, because she'd love to see me, and wanted to play with the new holiday stuff.

She rocks. Everytime I've been to the counter since, she and two of the other SAs there greet me, welcome me back, and take me around and show me new stuff they thought might look good on me.

There's never any pressure from my SA, or her two co-workers that I've gotten to know, and thus I end up spending more!

MY MAC MA is named Kelly, she is an absolute GODDESS!!! I love her!!!
I remember the first time I ever bought MAC, I was nervous thinking about those bitchy department store sales girls... the ones that act like they aren't in retail...
Anyways, I was standing there looking lost, not knowing that my life was about to change forever... That just that one hit of the MAC, the one they warn you about in school, was about to make me an ADDICT!!!Kelly walked up to me and asked if she could help me and we have been together ever since!!! She treats me like family!!!
So in a nutshell, everytime with Kelly is my best experience...

I haven't had any truly horrible experiences but I've been ignored and I've had SA's who have barely lifted a finger to show me something. I always have a fabulous experience at the free-standing store in Burlington, MA. Just last week one of the SA's gave me a case from a damaged e/s for Back2MAC - I had 6 empties but one of them was an old eye pencil which they don't accept. As a result, I got my newest lippie, Fresh Moroccan.

I've never had a bad experience. I love my regular MA's at the freestanding store (Dawn) and Nordstrom's (Kristina). I just feel sad I can't spend more. They have never steered me wrong, they never pressure. Just wonderful sweet people who really know their MAC.

My last visit I picked up a couple shadows and a 4 pan palette and prep and prime lip. Not a huge haul but I shyly asked for pigment samples and my MA gave me 2 full 5 gram containers. That was a good day!

A shout out for Sylvie from the Melbourne MAC pro store, South Yarra.

My SO is a very creative person and had a bit of a goth stage and professed a love of blue lipstick shortly after we started seeing one another. So I got it into my head that it would be great to custom make him a fab blue gloss. I did and because he loves zombie stuff, I named it 'Zombie Spoof' (spoof also referring to film, type of).

So in I wander, a not too friendly man asks if I need help but I politely decline. He seems distracted. But then this lady Sylvie comes up to me a bit later and asks if she can help me, and I tell her my gloss plan. She must have spent 30mins with me, actually getting samples and mixing up drops of gloss with pigments, all to help me get the desired colour!

I ended up buying Dervish l/l, Marine Ultra pro pigment, Creme Cocktail l/g tasti & clear lipglass. She also gave me 3 MAC sample jars upon my request. I bought way more than I planned to, but as she was so helpful and not at all pushy, I thought I'd ask her to help me find what is now my holy grail l/l. She did leave me unattended briefly just to help someone else very quickly, but she was just so polite throughout. I wish there were more MAs like her!
