Best Non-Smudging Liner for Both the Top & Bottom

(Apologies if this was posted before)

I'm having problems with liners!!
Currently, I'm using Powepoint pencil eyeliner from MAC
and it smudges like crazy after 3 hours because I apply it both on the top and bottom of my eyes (right underneath your waterline).
Therefore, I tried using waterproof Ultra liquid liner from Maybelline,
but ehh... its ok.. it also smudges alittle.
So I want to try a liner from MAC.
I need help choosing between:
Fluidline(if FL, which brush to buy it with for both the bottom and top eyes?), Liquid Last Liner, and Liquid Eye liner
for both the top and bottom of your eyes that smudges the least.
Please help

Question: Do you have Asian eyes? I'm Asian and I had problems with tons of liners that smudged, flaked, and faded.

I have asian eyes too and very oily skin - but FL stays on me with absolutely no smudging (i.e. even from extreme heat, rain...pool uhh) even with put on the waterline...and trust me, nothing else stays on my waterline for more than a few minutes - I like the 266 angled liner brush for fluidlines - application is almost fool-proof. I personally don't recommend the liquidlasts...they have super staying power (hate that dingy, clumpy, not-thin-enough brush), but in the summer heat, it tends to flake when you sweat, also it's a BITCH to take off at the end of the day.

I had a feeling because I had the same problems. I had to ask first before I start typing a lot. :p So you don't have a crease on your eyes... right? I don't have a crease like most other people, so really, the skin folds right over my lashes and the area that liner is supposed to be. Because of that, the skin rubs against each other causing kohl liners to smudge and a lot of liquid liners to flake or fade! It took me a while to find the perfect liner that didn't crease, smudge, or flake. I've tried low end, and high end. So far, no kohl liners work. Liquid liners are really the only solution for me. But not just any liquid liner because I've tried a lot that either flake, fade, or both. Even waterproof. The only liquid liner I've tried that works is the Clinique liquid liner. I haven't tried MAC's liquid liner, but I'd assume that it works like Clinique's since they are both owned by Estee Lauder. The reason why I haven't tried MAC's is because the Clinique is slightly cheaper, has more product, and if it ain't broken, I'm not going to fix it. MAC's fluidline also works alright, not as good as the liquid liner though. I do have to say that it does fade slightly. Not as much as the other eyeliners that I've used before, but yeah, it does it. I also hate actually seeing how much product I use when I dip my brush into the jar, and I do end up using a lot.

ahh its so hard to choose between fluidline and liquidliner =/
because liquid liners give that stiff look even since it doesnt smudge
and the fluidline i guess looks less stiff but ppl say does smudge after awhile =/

I hate Powerpoints too- arg!

Fluidlines are AWESOME. They don't go anywhere until you wash them off. I use them on top, bottom, and even my waterline occasionally. 266 brush is the best for application

fluidlines and liquidlast liners like mentioned above. a trick to get pencils to not smudge is to set them with the same shade of e/s and a good base of course. maybe go over them with benefit's she-laq or mufe's eye seal.

i find a hit and miss situation when it comes to pencil liners. i use to wear avon eyeliners (my big sis use to buy them and that's how i got introduced to eyeliners) & i don't remember it smudging, but i buy mac now because i figured the cost was about equal (the avon pencils are 1/2 the length of the mac ones so that how i justify about equal in cost)

i have Smolder (black) in the mac eye kohl and it smudges all the freakin' time - in that same line i have Hyacinth (blue) and there's no problem with smudging - the MA thought that was weird for me to have a problem with one but not the other; she ended up recommending Ebony (black) in the mac eye pencil and that works out a lot better for me. i also have Bordeauxline in mac powerpoint and no smudging. i do have a loreal liquid liner (free with a mascara purchase a while back) but i rarely wear liquid liner.

btw, i got a lightbulb moment this morning - i'm going to try to use Smolder as the smudge eyeliner effect to get the smokey eye look that i've seen done on some of the tutorials here. a lot are done with fluidline, but i know i've seen at least one down with pencil liner somewhere.....

If you do get a Liquidlast liner from MAC, you will need to get a different brush to do your bottom with - the brush it comes with is too flimsy to do the bottom lashes. My sister wipes some on a 266 to do her bottom with LLL.

If you are going for fluidline, either the 266 or 209 are good - I prefer the 209 because it gives a thinner line, I just use the point of it (like a pencil) to do my bottom lashline.
