Hi ladies,
This is my very first post, I'm a newbie and super excited about this site! I had a question ,I dont own any oranges, and want to try one, any suggestions? Matte, veluxe pearl, it doesnt matter, I'm open to anything
This isn't MAC, but Urban Decay Jones is the best orange shadow I have tried. It goes on amazingly and is super-pigmented...and it is a good dupe for Evening Aura that was in the Neo Sci-Fi collection. Also there is Juiced and then another orange shadow, both available I believe at the FS stores.
Mac's Rule is really pretty! IMO Im an NC50 and I love juiced but it doesn't show up orange on me. It looks yellow with a little shimmer, which I like because chrome yellow is not hte best on me. Boy, did I go off topic, ok I'm gonna stop typing now!! HTH
Firespot is fantastic, if you can find it. Check CCOs (it'll be in pearl white packaging since it was LE from Moonbathe), eBay, or the Clearance Bin. Otherwise, Fab & Flashy is also gorgeous. I'm also a fan of Off the Radar pigment. Sorry that those are all LE - a lot of MACs best colors seem to be LE.
ETA: kimmae17 just posted Firespot for sale in her thread, so pounce on it while you can!
I hope you're enjoying Specktra.
I hope you found an orangeeye shadow you love!
I'm looking for an orange, as well, so thanx for starting this thread.
I have about 1/4 tsp of Acid Orange pigment , but I haven't gotten time to play with it. I keep planning to use it, & then I get sidetracked. But I *am* going to try it out, & after reading this thread, (& a few others, in the past) I *really* want to try Firespot, (but I'm on a "no-buy" right now.)
^ Just saying I'm drooling over your font right now, princessa! LOL. Orange and purple remind me sooo much of Halloween and that excites me like none other!!!!
Ditto on Firespot and Evening Aura as far as MAC recommendations. Otherwise, Fyrinnae.com has GORGEOUS oranges... Electric Koi in particular!
I just got one in yesterday from Aromaleigh called Velvetgoldmine. It was ORANGE and sparkly. It was kind of sheer so I had to really pack it one, but it was really gorgeous. I can't wait to try it over a base!
