Best White Highlighter e/s?

What's the best MAC e/s for highlighting? I don't have Gesso or White Frost so I was thinking of one of those two? Or is there something better? Right now, as far as whites go I only have Vellum, Forgery (blah!), and the two that came in the '07 and '08 Holiday Smokey eye pallettes.

Also, can anyone tell me how closely Vellum and Gesso compare? And what about Vellum and White Frost?

gesso is a really good eyeshadow especially if you want a matte highlight. its my favourite... apart from revlon matte eyeshadow in vintage lace

for me thats the best highlighter

I think I am looking for something more matte... I have a lot of frosty shadows besides the MAC (Urban Deacy, VS, Toofaced) but just need a nice white to put on browbone/under eyebrows.

try Vanilla e/s.. its a velvet, so it has tiny little flecks of glitter, but it goes on as a nice ivory-white matte. its not frosty at all. i personally love it for more toned down or neutral looks. HTH!

gesso is pure white matte -- blanc type is a beigey white matte

I like the LM Dew for highlite also

Blanc Type is a great matte highlighter and it blends like a dream. It's not pure white, though. Luna CCB and White pigment would also be great alternatives. I love Luna CCB for highlighting or putting a little on the inner eye for brightening. White pigment is a pretty, lightly frosted white, akin to White Frost or Crystal Avalanche.

Gesso, White Frost, or Crystal Avalanche are probably your best bets for traditional white eyeshadow highlighters.

If you're looking for a matte white, definitely go with Gesso.

I'm a nw25 supposedly in MAC and the best highlight e/s that I've used so far is vanilla. It's buildable and still has the ability with it's shimmer to look okay with both matte and shimmer looks. Gesso is a pain in the butt to use because of its lack of pigmentation so I have to use my fingers. If you're looking for a good gold highlight then shroom and gold e/s is the Creme de miel from the Naked Honey collection for our skin color.

Phloof!, Shroom, Femmi-Fi, and a bunch of others that I use too, but realized that I didn't have a pure white that is more Matte. Will have to try Gesso and Crystal avalanche
