Black eyeshadow

I want a black eyeshadow to create smokey looks what would you recommend black tied or carbon ? also i have urban decay oil slick if any1 has this is it much different from the mac two ?

There is no easy answer to this... The Black Tied/Carbon question is a matter of ongoing debate. Personally, I prefer Carbon, but Black Tied really is better for some people. If you don't already have a gray shadow for your smoky look, I'd recommend getting one. Print is great.

for smokey looks, i prefer carbon, since it's matte.

what nick says is true...its a personal preference, try them out at a counter or store if u have one close to you - i prefer black tied because matte shadows never come out right on me...but matte shadows can have a world of versatiliy - buy both if you really want a black, im going back for carbon next time!

I also prefer Carbon!
