What is the blackest drugstore mascara?

Hmmmm....well I haven't tried a ton of them but L'Oreal Voluminous in Carbon Black is pretty black.

I have max factor 2000 calorie lash and it is pretty dark. It's never showed up grey or charcoal-y on me, ever.

A second vote for L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black! It's pretty darn black...

Max Factor Lash Perfection. It's very black and never smudges or flakes! I don't even bother looking at high end mascaras now.

I third the L'oreal Carbon Black Voluminous. It's the darkest I've found and it really does make your lashes stand out. Second to that I would say MAC Zoomlash, at least on me, which as a very thick, dark formula.
