. Your skin and brushes are going to love for that lol.

Here's how i clean my brushes

Cleaning after every use:
After every use put some mac brush cleaner on a cooton wipe. The round cotton ones you use for your face. it must me a but soaked with brush cleaner. Wipe brush over, press on cotton and wipe. take a clean wipe, cleenex paper or clean towel and wipe softly. Again take a clean wipe, add some cleanser and wipe. Put brush on a clean towel to dry.

Bath time:
Depending on how often i used my brushes, they get a good bath after every one or two weeks. I fill two big glas containers with water. In one i add baby shampoo. I take a brush and wiggel it (the hairs) in the glass to make shure everything is out. Than i put some shampoo on the hairs of the brush and wash carefully. In the other glass *with only water* i wiggel the brush clean than i rinse under running water. Press exces of water out of the hairs. I finish with mac's brush cleaner on a cosmetic cotten and wipe the brushes in shape. Lay the brush on a clean towel to dry.

Hope this helps hun.

im scared that those lush bristles will go all funny - I just wipe mine briefly at the moment on a makeup remover wipe!

Nope; frequent washings will not cause the bristles to fall out. I've had my 129 for about 8 months and I wash it w/baby shampoo after every use. It's still full and fluffy.

A make-up removing wipe is worse for your brush than any amount of cleanser - MU wipes are loaded with glycerin and silicone, two things that are guaranteed to coat the bristles with sticky gunk, attracting more dirt, dust and funk.

They'll go funnier if you *don't*. If you dip your hair into powder every day and then just give it a brief wipe...what do you think it will be like in a short period of time? Manky! Now imagine all the ick it's going to collect, and remember you'll be grinding that into your skin...

Oh, how I wish I had a picture of my mother's old blush brush for conversations like this. It makes me shudder just thinking about it. Put it this way: I would wash it every time I stayed over at my parents' house for a holiday, and those holidays were usually Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter. Once I would get to it, that thing was coated with so much greasy film, dead skin, and blush powder that it would make your head spin. I cannot express how nasty it would be to touch that thing to your face! When I would dip it into the diluted brush cleaner, FLAKES of stuff would fall into the cup!

The moral of my story? You should clean it with diluted brush cleaner or baby shampoo very regularly, or all of those nasties that you work so hard to wash off of your face twice a day will just keep redepositing themselves on your skin. Yuck!

the bristles won't go funny when you let them dry 100% before you use it again.
