Blush help!

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum and MAC. I'm not sure which shade I am in MAC as my closest counter is over an hour away and it's quite expensive to get to so I'm hoping you guys can help!

I'm looking to buy my first MAC blush. I'm wanting something that I can use as everyday or for going out with dramatic eyes but won't take away from the eyes.. but still be noticeable if that makes sense?

I'm pale, so a lot will show up on me but it's trying to find one that will do both jobs that I'll like. I'd prefer something pink/peach rather than nude I think. I'm looking on this website: MAC Blush Recap - The Next Best Thing To Going Shopping Yourself so I see the swatches.. I just can't choose which would be the best to go for.

Any opinions, advice? A good highlight would be nice too. I read Soft and Gentle MSF would be good?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! It would be so much easier if I could go to the counter.

Please help.

Also if possible - only permanent products.

Hush CCB is a great highlighter and it's pretty multi-functional! You can just it underneath your blushes or as a highlight, or even an all over wash of colour on your lid (beware it creases) or under your brow bone just to highlight it

.

Tip wise - try peaches blush or sunbasque !

Style - a lovely coral-peach color that looks natural but is also buildable if you want more drama.
Pink Swoon is a lovely pink color.

And soft and gentle is a great highlight.

I'd go for something like Well Dressed, or Pink Swoon, both can be built up to a stronger pink colour. Dame looks great on paler skin tones too. Dainty is brilliant, it's a mineralize not just a normal powder blush.

For a highlighter I'd try silver dusk loose powder with a fan brush. Pearl is also a really nice Highlighter on pale skin.

I think the mineralize blush Dainty would be great for you! I'm also pale and I love it

If you still can find the MSF By Candlelight, go for it! It's an amazing highlighter. I like the CCB Shell too.

Thank you everyone so much for your help.

Silly question I guess - but do you think I would have to be matched to an MSF Natural? I'd love to use it but I'm worried about getting the wrong shade online and not being able to use it.

with MSF Natural you'll be okay, I'd go for the light one, maybe light medium, but I think Light the safest bet.

yes i agree... i have used this powder before and i got the light colour and that was fine. at that point i'd never even been matched to a mac foundation so it was purely guess work. i don't think it makes much difference because it belnds into the skin so easily

I use light you can see my skin tone here <---- If you are similar to me or LMD84 above go with Light definately. I'm an NC15, if you are more like a NC20, Id say Light Medium.
