BOTTOM false eyelash application

OK I did a search but couldn't really find what I'm looking for. I want to apply fake eyelashes to my BOTTOM lash line, I'm kind of going for the Twiggy look. I know how to do the normal ones on the top lashline, but want to do both top and bottom for this look.

Like this, but with different lashes and not as punky looking.

Now, I already bought lashes, but they are just the normal ones. Can you apply normal lashes on the bottom line by just flipping them around? Or do you need to buy special ones? I don't see any special lashes at the drugstore for bottom lashes so I'm thinking you can use the normal ones for both top and bottom?

Also, is there a special technique for applying to bottom lashes, or is it pretty much the same as the top ones?

It's pretty much the same, just flipped around and coming from a very low angle. If the lashes are a bit stiff and won't take to the lower lid shape, pop them in some warm water to reshape the arch (presuming that they're halfway decent lashes that are threaded on. If they're glued onto a strip, skip the hot water and use a hairdryer set on low speed, medium warm).

If you can bear to cut up the strip, go for it. Snipping them into 3mm lengths makes bottom lashes so much easier, and that'll really pump up the Twiggy look.

OK thanks I'll try that. They are on a very thin plastic strip but knotted on by hand, so do I apply the glue on that strip I guess?

when you apply them to the bottom do you place the strip on your waterline or lower than that or underneath you lower lashes

I think just underneath, nestled under the lower lash line as close as possible. It would be way too dangerous attaching glue to the waterline! Yeah, just underneath the lash line I imagine. I can't really see how it would work above.

I <3 bottom lashes!

You definitely want to go below your lashline (both the top and the bottom lashes in the pic seem to be pretty poorly applied so I wouldn't really use the as an exact guide)...when I put mine on I use tweezers so I can get them exactly where they need to be. I tried once to put them on top of my lashes...it was the worst thing ever! My eyelids kept sticking together & my vision was all blurry even after I took them off-it was not a good day.

When putting them on myself, I also don't let the glue get as tacky as I do when putting on top lashes so I have room to move them around a bit because they never seem to go in the right place on the first shot.
