Boycotting a location

I went into MAC on the weekend in Ottawa at the St.Laurent mall location. Let me tell you I was right pissed off! The first thing I ask is for her to order me a tool belt. Well, she tells me she can't. Apparently I have to go online or the Pro Store in Montreal. To me that makes no sense as to why she can't order when I went to another location here about a month ago and they say they could order it. Second they rearranged their tables. With the new arrangement it looks as though it's made so you can go behind the tables and look at the back display. Well the rep got all snotty and told me to move. I was fed up! I decided to leave. Too bad I have to go spend 300$ on makeup brushes somewhere else now. Montreal here I come!

It sounds as though you went to a Bay counter. If that's the case, don't be surprised that they refuse to order certain items, as I believe it's the case for all Bay counters. They are sent limited inventory from MAC and they cannot bring in anything that is not in their "regular" stock.

I can't comment on the arrangement of the tables but it sounds like she was rude and could have just explained the new arrangement instead of getting all pissy.

Did you manage to get her name? You can always send in a complaint about that specific SA rather than blacklist all of the (hopefully) friendlier employees

That's one thing I get really confused about with MAC, because some of the table set ups in the freestanding stores look like you can go behind them and look at the items on the wall. :p I don't though, because I don't want to get yelled at, but they should make it clearer to customers.
