Hey everyone!
I'm Ashley and though I registered a couple of months ago, I only just decided to stop lurking and say hi.
I started wearing lip gloss a little eyeliner my senior year of HS (2005/2006) but that's pretty much it in terms of what makeup I wore until just recently. I just always felt like wearing things like colored eyeshadow and lipstick would make me look too "made up" and fake. My mom took me to Macy's last summer and bought me some Studio Fix to correct some dark spots on my face, but I really didn't know what to do with it so it sat collecting dust in my cabinet for a while. I pulled it out a couple of months ago just to see what it did and I was amazed at how great it was. The shade number sticker had come off, so I took it into my local Macy's and they had a bit of a time matching the shade, but finally determined that my shade is NC43.
Sooo, I've been reading a lot of makeup blogs and getting some ideas for looks I'd like to try. I love the Arabic inspired look, but I dunno if I have enough confidence to try something more dramatic than the gold tones/black liquid eyeliner/nude lips combo I've been doing the past couple of months.
