Brown eyeshadow recs

Hi Girls

I need some help looking for a medium to dark brown eyeshadow. I already have 'Dark Devotion' from the 2008 Smoky eyes holiday pallette, but it just isnt working for me. I find it to be too pigmented and more towards black than a brown shade. I'm looking for something that isnt going to be super dark and a brown shade which is good for everyday wear. Here are some pics of eyeshadow shades which I like the look of:

I'll second Espresso. Satin Taupe is a nice cool brown too.

Definitely Satin Taupe...I also like Texture, Patina and Soft Brown...

Are you looking for a matte/shimmery or a cool/warm brown? That would help cut it down a bit =p

Judging by the photos though (although the second picture looks more like grey than brown), try Satin Taupe, a shimmery grey-ish brown colour.

Oh wait...that's already in the Smokey Eyes palette. =\ In that case, try Soft Brown or Espresso? Although Satin Taupe is probably my favourite mid-tone brown shade.

handwritten

not browns but go great with browns: era, all that glitters, shroom, naked lunch, symmetry (pro)

If you'r looking for something really dark, I think the darkest MAC makes is Embark. I have that one and use it a lot.
Other good browns are Cork (med brown), Soft Brown (great for blending) and Satin Taupe (cool purply brown)
