Browset Vs. Brow Finisher

What's the difference between the new brow finisher & the brow set that MAC had had out for awhile. They pretty much do the same thing right? Is one better than the other?

I just bought the Brow Finisher tonight. I really like it. It has a light wax texture to it. It looks quite natural. I found that the Brow Set could feel stiff, cakey and look unnatural when it dried. The clear could even flake a bit.

The B F'r is the pencil?? Right...or is it the little box??? Ya know, I'm confused as to why MAC didn't put a brow wax into that set. Most all the other sets have a wax; ie: Benefit "Browzings", Tart's "The Toolbox", and quite a few others....In fact, I just bought Tarts' "Toolbox"...and I know I like to have a brow wax...it just seems like MAC forgot it. I wonder why (??).

I love it!
I like brow set too though, but I used brunette and wheat together today and it was much more natural looking than my usual espresso and clear brow set combo.
the finish is so nice, the finisher isnt too waxy at all like i thought it would be

After only using it for two days, I really like the Brow Finisher. I agree with MAC_Whore...while I faithfully used the Brow Set every day for quite some time, since I fill in my brows with dark shadows, sometimes it would flake and I'd end up with dark brown or black fallout on my nose, but the waxiness of the Brow Finisher keeps it from doing that. It does about the same job at keeping those unruly hairs in place, but the no flaking is its big selling point for me.

I guess they considered unruly brows and brows that need to be filled as two seperate issues, but really most women could use a bit of the Brow Finisher. It really would have been nice if they included a pan of the clear brow finisher in the Brow Shader palette. Clear is a universal colour. Works on everyone and it would complete the palette.

All of this brow talk reminds me, I have an appt to get them done today! Thanks, ladies.

The finisher is more like a wax pencil with a bit of colour in it so it slightly colours your brow hairs as it sets them in place. The brow set is, in a very basic way, mascara for your brows. It coats your hairs with more product, has more pigmentation but, as others have noted, can flake of like some mascaras can.

I've been using Wheat brow finisher on my sparse and fine-haired Chinese brows and I like how it brings out my brows naturally. I don't have much hair on my head and it's quite fine, so to draw in brows on me looks really fake. I've been filling it in with the brow shader the last few months after using the finisher (sounds backwards, I know, but the shader grabs better with the wax there) and that's worked out nicely too.

I prefer the Brow Finisher because I think it's easier to use. It comes in a dummy proof retractable tube and all you have to do is slick it on. I use Wheat every day after applying my MAC Brow Shader and it looks really good. My brows are rather curly at the ends and the Brow Finisher stops them from misbehaving during the day

I do the same as BlahWah too. Sometimes I use the Brow Finisher first and then the Shader and it looks really nice and natural. Give it a go!

Sorry for asking a dumb question, but which is the one that comes in the little box that slides out? I was going to get that but if you guys are talking about something else maybe i will try that instead!

The one you're talking about is the Brow Shader, which is what i use. After reading this thread I'm thinking about trying the brow finisher with it
