Withour sounding like a dirty clueless person how often do you all wash your brushes??? i bought a 190 brush for my studio fix fluid and i more or less need to wash it every day to get the best application. At the mo i use baby shampoo but didn't know whether to buy the mac brush cleanser , is the brush cleanser stuff you use in water or is it a spray. Thanks xxxx

I use Mac Brush Cleanser. My MUA at Mac's suggested to dilute some in half a glass of water and to leave the brushes in for some time, then to dry them on a paper towel. It works!

i clean my brushes once a week (every sunday), i use the MAC brush cleanser, i place tissue paper on the floor squirt a bit of my cleanser on it and pat the brush on it back and forth. It gets rid of everything!
Then i just let them dry.

I put a squirt of MAC Brush Cleanser in a little Dixie cup & dilute with water. Make sure the mixture does not go higher than the feurrle on your brush because that's what ruins them. Anyway, then I swirl the brush around in the solution. Then rinse with cool water until the water runs clear. Squeeze excess water from the brush, re-shape, and lay flat to dry on a towel overnight. I do this about once a week for deep cleanse. You can use baby shampoo in lieu of the brush cleanser.

For a quick fix, you can squirt some brush cleanser onto a tissue and wipe your brush back and forth to get rid of the previous makeup residue.
