i just got brush cleanser and i plan to use it with my 263 brush after fluidliner application. i was just wondering if i need to run the brush under water after i use with brush cleanser or do i just use brush cleanser and lay it flat to dry?

also which method is better for cleaning the 263 brush, pouring some on a paper towel and back and forth till it comes clean or swirling it around in a small container of brush cleanser?

where can i get a spray top to replace the squirt top that's include with brush cleaners? does mac sell it (if so, how much is it)?

no need to rinse. just clean with the brush cleanser and lay flat to dry. takes about 5 minutes to dry.

If you planning on deep cleaning the bristles [ex: making a lather], rinse thoroughly and lay flat to dry.

Always dampen the brush before you put the cleanser on, at least thats what I do. The box says to rinse after spot cleaning..I do.

If I'm wrong, please tell me! I'm new to the cleanser as well.

Wow! Thanks Erine! I never knew it can dry that quickly! wow. For that method, do you use a paper towel to get the residue off or swirl in a cup full?

no need to dampen the brush before hand. just lay the brush on a papertowel, pour a little bit of cleanser on the brush, and work the brush back and forth, like a broom motion. then lay flat to dry, with the bristles hanging over the edge of the counter.

you can deep cleanse your brushes every few months if you want to. mix equal parts cleanser and water in a cup. let them soak for 10 minutes, but don't let the solution go above the ferrules. then rinse under running water, gently squeezing the bristles until all suds are gone. then lay flat to dry, again with the bristles hanging over the edge. let dry overnight.

that's all there is to it.

That is my experience, too.
