I am looking for a brush for my foundation. I used the 188 this morning WOW
and I get another but Iwas thinking maybe I should get the 187 which is bigger. However, I have a pretty tiny face. Suggestions

As you said yourself use the 187 or 188 for applying Studio Fix Fluid! I have a small face, too, but both brushes work really well on me.

Some recommend also the 190 foundation brush.

I use the 187 to put on studio fix fluid. I love it I would never use my fingers again, It makes my foundation look so flawless.

Only problem is that my 187 has started sheding tiny hairs ?? But Iam sure that is normal

I use the 187 to apply the Studio Fix Fluid. I like using the 187 because it gives a light application and I can build up the coverage with it (those day that I need it). I never have to worry about applying TOO MUCH the first time as I usually have decent skin and do not like to wear heavy foundation. After applying my foundation, I like to mist the 187 with my FIX+ and buff over my foundation for a dewy, flawless finish.
Dollymix, I have noticed my 187 shedding on a few occasions and only about 1-2 little hairs at a time. I do not worry about it because, for as often as I use this brush, the sheddings are minimal and few and far between.

I use either the 187 or the 109.
If I'm looking for a light, more airbrushed look, I'll use the 187
If I'm looking for a more full coverage foundation application, I'll use the 109.

I think the 187 gives the best effect. I personally like it better than the smaller 188. Sometimes, I'll use the 190, but it really doesn't give the same airbrushed look as the 187 (I agree with ^^blindpassion^^ on that one!)

Either the 188/187 or the 109.
I like the 188 for foundation because it's small enough to get into the curves of the face (i.e. nose).
I use 109 for when I have a bad skin day.

I use the 187 and I love it. There is also the 190, but it use more product. If you want more coverage, use the 190.

I just got my Studio Fix Fluid yesterday. This morning I used the 190 and it gave me WAAAAYYYY too much coverage, especially for just going to work. I would love to try the 187 but I just don't have the money for it. I'm gonna check out Sephora's as an alternative.

Also, I am having trouble getting the foundation OUT of the bottle. There are pumps I can buy for that, correct? You should have seen me this morning with the look of confusion on my face... I was wondering how every one was getting the foundation out of the bottle and onto the brush!

Yes, MAC has a pump that fits the Studio Fix Fluid bottle. I'm surprised they didn't offer it to you...

Yeah man.. it's hit or miss with the MA's in NYC. Some are more than willing to help you out, others are kinda like ready to shove you out the door so they can help the next one. I try not to take it personally. She didn't even mention a pump. But I knew I remembered reading here that there was one. Plus, all the testers at the stores have pumps.. which I guess is why I thought I'd have one too when I got home.

you can use 187 for light coverage. 187 makes everything look even which is always a good thing.
I used to use 190 for liquid foundations. The coverage will be heavier and it takes a bit more to getting it even

so u might wanna stick with 187

This may sound really odd, but XSparkage reccomended the 168 brush and I use that sometimes. Most days, though, I'll just use a 190-like brush and buff it out with a flat-top buffer brush. It's from Everyday Minerals, but it's a bit small. I'm going to try out the Coastal Scents one at some point.
