Ah..cameras..the loves of my life (besides my husband and kids!)

Depends on how much you want to spend...you can have one of these:

http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/co...ode lid=10598

That puppy will run you about $8,000...
eyelove.gif
...but it also shoot 4 full-frame shots a second with 16 megapixels...you can see the pore on the nose of a fly from 10 miles away... in focus and detailed...

But, If that's not what you're looking to spend, than check this one out...

or

http://www.nikonusa.com/template.php...roductNr=25218

They're more than $500 each, but if you're going to get into professional style photography, that's what you might want to look at.

Me? I am an old fashioned film girl, but if someone gave me this:

I would keel over and die...look at the price...yes it is 5 figures...*swoon*

I just bought this and the camera w/the kit lens cost me about $1,400 (excluding tax). They also have a lower model, the D50, which runs about $500-$600 depending on the kit lens. Both take exceptional photos and IMO, the lens you buy is the key factor rather than the camera.

To see examples of the photos from my camera look here. Just a warning: I'm still a beginner

My friend with the D50 has a site too. Now, she has various lenses and has way more experience than me

I also have friends who have the Rebel xTi. Examples are here and here.

Take a look at what their camera has to offer. You can also check out my profile and browse my other contacts. The type of camera they use is usally listed in their profile.

Once you go dSLR, you never go back to point & shoot

Have you heard anything good, bad or ugly about this baby:

I have been kicking the idea of that cam around for a bit. What do you think?

The good thing about dSLR is that you really can't go wrong with any of the big names: Canon, Ninkon, Olympus, Pentax, etc. The technology has gotten so advanced that any of the higher end cameras ($500 and up) with give you super high quality pictures. If you aren't printing out major enlargements (murals, billboards, etc) then you don't anything super fancy...that Olympus is a great camera...enjoy it!!

I've got Fuji FinePix S5600 and it is the bomb! Doesnt have interchangeable lenses but it takes fab photos reall good quality
greengrin.gif
Thats my recommendation, looks heavy but its real light to hold.

it costs around $420 and looks like this:

there's various prices but my parents got it for £223 - $420 from a store.

the camera takes good quality pics like these:
