can anyone wear any colour?

I'm starting to think that anyone can wear ANYTHING though this is especially difficult on the lips. BUT: if you have white teeth, then wearing any lip colour shouldn't be a problem.

Think NARS Schiap, MAC Blow, other wilder colours like black or brown etc.

what do you think? Is that a bit naive of me to believe? I keep thinking I'd wear these wild colours (I'm brave enough!) but I know that because my teeth aren't pearly white it'd look deathly and do the lip colour no justice!

I think it really depends on the pigmentation of your skin. I can pull off almost any color except really really light pink, but thats just me.

Some 'flesh-toned' colours on eyelids make me look ill, especially yellow-based ones. I have also tried some lip colours that really did make me look like a corpse. I don't know, some people might like that (I personally didn't).

It's weird: technically they tell warm-toned people to wear 'warm' colours, and that would be me, except that I actually love cooler colours and wear a lot of them. Thankfully, no one's yet told me it looks awful on me. Warm colours just look neutral and nice, but it doesn't float my boat at all. *shrug*

I agree. Its difficult to wear every lipcolor, but anyone can wear any color eye shadow they just have to find the right combination .

I was just thinking about this today although i'm not sure if we're talking about the exact same thing here.
I was thinking about taking a basic colour such as green, pink, blue etc etc and saying that anyone can wear all colours but it just depends what shade and depth of that colour you use and in which context.

I've heard that a lot, that people can wear anything.. .but honeslty, that doesn't work for me. If I wear anything with warm tones instead of cool tones, it totally pales me out and I look dead/sick. It's just not flattering on me at all. oranges, orangey/reds, most yellows, golds... it's just a no-go on me. but I seriously believe that some girls who have dark skin can wear anything.

I believe that anyone can wear any eye colour, it is just a case of finding the shade/hue that works best for you.

Lipstick/lipglass wise, I wouldn't dream of wearing fuschia as I think it would make my teeth look yellow. But I guess most folk can wear most shades if they have the confidence.

I think people can wear anything they like. It's just that some colors look a lot better than others! I wear things that I enjoy and they might not be the most flattering colors in the world, but if I like it that's what matters.

IMHO anyone can wear any colour, just you have to work at getting the right hue.... Yellow eyeshadow for example was something I thought I couldn't wear as Chrome Yellow e/s makes me look like a corpse, but Gorgrous Gold is loooooovely on and very zingy.....

The one exception I'll make to this is black lipstick. I don't think it looks good on ANYONE except for high-fashion models, or folks with naturally very dark skin.

If you're under 20 and wear it, you look like an angsty goth teen cliche. If you're over 30 and wear it, you look like a sad old goth who's never got past 1985. If you're somewhere in the middle, odds are it will just make you look weird and dead, not cool and edgy at all...... I used to wear black lippie when I was younger, mistakenly thought I looked cool, and have now burnt all the pictures in horror :)

Just personal opinion folks :)

You can wear any color and look good, it's just a matter of finding the right shade and depth.

No one can honestly wear every single color, but you can go generic and wear most colors (like red, pink, blue, black, etc.)

I don't think anyone can wear any lip color. I think most people can wear most eye shadow colors (but not formulas or specific shades) but there are going to be some colors that look better than others.

I think everyone can find something in every color to suit their skintone. Although I don't believe that every tone of a specific color will work for all individuals.

I think pretty much anyone can wear anything, but it is a matter of how you place the color/what you pair it with and your own comfort level & style.

I've recently gone back to being a redhead & it's like I have to re-learn how to place my colors to make them work again. It takes some time & experimenting, but it's definitely possible.

Well, I think that anyone can wear any color if they're going to be comfortable wearing it. That being said, I don't intend to imply every color made, but every shade there should be a color for everyone. Some people think they can't wear red lipstick: it's gotta be the right shade of red. Colors have to have the right undertones to flatter a person's complexion, and texture is important as well.
