Can I get a critique on my planned MAC brush haul?

I have almost makeup brushes at the moment but I want to invest in a good MAC starter set. Any warnings or suggestions appreciated!

I'll give you info about the brushes that i have.
the 116 and 129 are similar, the only difference is that the 129 is bigger than the 116.
I think that you should get the 217, 219,224 and 239 brushes because:
217: a stiff brush (compared to the 224), you can use it to apply lid colour, crease coulour and also apply concealer.
219: you can line with this brush and also do your outer v with it.
224: i use it to blend the colours lightly, apply highlight colour and use it to blend concealer.
239: I own it but only use it when i use pigments this is because i find the 213 better to apply es to my lid. However many people swear by the 239 but i didn't get it to work for me. It only works for me when i'm using pigments.

Hope this helps.

Ooh! I completely missed that the 116 and 129 are similar. I think I'll strike off the 116, thank you for saving me from buying extras. And also for your awesome advice on the eye brushes which is reassuring

109 - I use this everyday for my studio fix fluid foundation, it gives a flawless application, I couldn't live without it. My mom loves it for blush also, its multi purpose.

116 - I don't own this.

129 - Great blush brush, very popular.

182 - Have it, need it, love it, cherish it. Great buffing brush, perfect for powder applications and buffing. I would highly suggest it.

187 - Another fantastic multi purpose brush. For a long time I used this brush for Studio Fix Fluid, its also perfect for powders and blushes, etc.

194 - I have this, and in all honesty, for concealer, I like thhe 252 brush better (strange, I know, but I swear by the 252 for under eye and spot concealer, I like how the bristles softly positions the product on your face, the 194 can be rubbery almost imho.

217 - My second ever mac brush, great for crease work, I love it.

219 - So multi purpose. I use it for highlighting the inside of my eyes close to my tearducts, also to smudge out eyeliner and other lines, and to place product on the lower lash line.

224 - Fantastic blending brush.

239 - I use this every single day, I'm thinking about buying a second one. SO useful, if I could only own ONE mac brush, this would be it.

266 - I prefer the 263 or the 209 if you're looking for an angle brush. The 263 gives the thinnest line between those two angle brushes. I like the hairs in the 209, I use it for filling in my eyebrows.

let's see..

182: love it, great for blush/powder when you're going for a light make up.
217: great for defining crease if you have not so large lids to work for
224: great for everyday's application, smooth blending, finishing
187: great coverage, great for mineral make up or bronzer

not so sure with the rests as I don't own them. HTH..

i'd suggest not getting both the 116 and 129. if your cheeks are on the smaller side, go with the 116. if they are bigger, go with the 129. i'd also say to skip the 194. i like the 217 better for concealer. i don't use the 194 i have. i don't even use it on customers at the counter. if i need it in a pinch, i use it as a lip brush.
