Can someone explain MAC Postcards?

Why MAC postcards and invites are sold/swapped, etc.?

I'm not knocking anyone by any means, I'm truly wondering.

I've never seen a mailer or invitation, so I don't know what makes them collectible. Do they have face charts in them, or are they collected because of the artistic photographs?

I'm hoping someone can satisfy my ignorance/curiosity. *blush*

The mailer's don't have any face charts or anything in them, they just have pictures of the products released in that collection.
People sell them to make money because there are people who love collecting mailer's etc..Hope that helps

For a second, I was worried that I was missing out on something magical!

I don't think hubby would like it if I plastered our bedroom wall with MAC stuff, so I'll have to pass.

No I don't think you are missing anything unless you a collector...it is just like collecting travel postcards, shot glasses, match books, etc....just something people like to collect. No face charts...Actually I am bad I throw most of mine away when I could just give them to someone who does collect...I am just a anti-clutter freak and I can't stand things laying around that have no purpose.

Tish i hardly get any postcards, i like getting them and hanging them round my vanity mirror..i collect them

I love them too. I've been given them when i've been buying something. The MUA seems to just slip them in the bag. The HK one i was given had face charts on them

So I went to my counter on Friday to get another MSFN face powder, and on the counter were these....things...for Viva Glam. The Fergie ones.

Not a mailer, don't think it's a postcard, but anyhow, I grabbed one. =P

ive only gotton one and it was for neo-sci fi
