CCB as eyeshadow base

I know there are several of you that use the ccb's as eyeshaow bases. How do you do this? I tried to use a ccb as an eyeshadow and it creased like crazy and ever since I won't touch the stuff, except for Bronze and Improper Copper which I use on my cheeks. So how do I use this on my eyes? I was at MAC yesterday and one of the MAs said she used Fawntastic Plastic as a base. Then she used Stars N Rockets on the lid and blended it out with Vellum. When I tell you it was beautiful I don't even think you could imagine it. I just kept staring at her. SO anyway....like I said, can you give me some tips for using ccb's on my lids? Please!!!

I'd like to know more about ccb's also. Ive never used any before and I noticed in most of Sonrisa's FOTDs she used the ccb's and they all came out beautiful!!

I had the same experience too with the CCBs creasing on me so now I use a paint first and then dab a little CCB on top and that fixes the creasing.

I always use Fawntastic CCB but first I apply Bare Canvas Paint. that makes it not crease, and then the CCB over it makes the eyeshadow really stick to it! Talk about color payoff!!!

I use a really thin layer just in the lid and not in the crease. CCB Slick and Club look awsome together! So does Motif, Expensive Pink and Trax over CCB Hush

I mentioned the creasing to my favorite MA not too long ago, her response was, "How do you walk around with your eyes closed?". I just looked at her, she said that you can only tell it is creased when you close your eyes. You keep your eyes open most of the time. It made sense but I still try to keep the CCB to the lid only. The fact that I KNOW it is creased is bad enough...

I think that's stupid of her to say. You can clearly tell when someone's makeup is creased, and CCB's crease terribly if you dont use a paint underneath them. People will see when you blink or any time, it's not like people walk around with their eyes wide open so you can't see the lid. Plus she's a MA, her makeup should look flawless. You can't tell your customers "Yeah, this creases and looks bad, but only when your eyes are closed!

Exactly! My friend doesn't use any kind of base for her makeup and it creases like mad. I'm dying to tell her that it can be fixed! Maybe I should get her a CCB and a Paint for Christmas!

as stated above, use paint under the ccb.. it may help, but also spray with Fix+ spray after to set!

robing - ccb=cream color base.

as far as creasing..yea i think if u use a light coat and over a paint or a base it minimizes the creasing.

I agree with you. You can tell when people are looking directly at you if the shadow is creases...sure maybe not a little creasing but if its really creasing..then of course u can tell...maybe its just her eyelid..u cant see on her..but how about when u look down..ur eyes arent closed but ur eyelid is visible.

Only use a LITTLE bit. It's meant to go on VERY sheerly. Putting the powder (eyeshadow) over it will set it into place.

on the browbone, yes, but not anywhere else without setting it with a powder because then it will crease.

I always use a paint first, then the ccb thinly and only up to the crease, not in it. For example, today I did a purple eye so I used mauvism first, then kool ccb up to the crease. Then I set it with my face powder, then applied e/s. I have super deep set eyes, but it won't crease if I do it this way. Like sonrisa said, apply a very very thin layer and it works beautifully. Also, ccb's work great for a glitter base.

hm, I use pearl ccb and I love it...it doesn't crease on me at all. I use a fairly small amount but it does its job. Usually I just put some powder on before I put on the ccb and it works like a charm. My skin isn't exactly dry either haha
