Chanel Eyeshadows Help

Hi guys,

I once bought 6 chanel soft touch eyeshadows.
amethyst
safari
mahogany
jungle
lotus
the colors are here:

Problem is. I dont know how to make them work. I always look like one muddy mess. Ive also noticed that their colors arent as heavily pigmented as mac.

Could anyone offer any tips? I'd like to put them to good use.

I tried Chanel shadows but I ended up returning them. I love the colors and the way they have that nice subtle shimmer but I could never get them to work. Maybe the issue though is over blending. Since MAC shadows are very pigmented, I find myself blending away. I was doing the same with Chanel so my shadows literally blended away into a "muddy mess." Some other tips/tricks would be to have a really good base that grabs onto shadows and applying the Chanel shadows with a sponge tip and using a brush to gently blend as needed. HTH!
