Chanel Mat Lumiere good for dry skin?

I have dry skin. Typically it seems like a combo of normal/dry... However the lady at Chanel said my skin was over dried and my pores were big.

I went in there wanting to get colored matched to Pro Lumiere, but the lightest shade she said was still not right on me. I asked for Vitalumiere (because I know it would be good for drier skin) and she said it would be too shiny on me, so she matched me with Mat Lumiere in .5 Porcelain.

Unfortunately they didn't have it in stock, so they will be sending it to my house and in the meantime she gave me a sample to use.

My question is will this foundation not be so good for my skin? Should I go back and try the vitalumiere before I get my bottle in the mail?

I recently got some make up wipes that day that I got matched and cleaned off my make up with them...Never used the wipes before and my skin after an hour or so felt so dry and slightly burning.

I just put the foundation on and it is slightly burning my face ...My mac studio fix powder hasn't made my face burn since.... Could it be the foundation finish ?

THanks.

I've never tried it myself, but I've read about a few people saying it's better suited to normal/oily skin. Pixiwoo on YT uses that brand alot and I just saw this video yesterday she did where she mentions the different formulas if you want to check it out. She's awesome to watch.

Thanks...Yeah, I love pixiwoo and watch them often. I hate the chanel doesn't have a huge color range.

I think you should try the vitalumiere first before purchasing the mat lumiere. have u tried removing the foundation with a regular face makeup remover as opposed to wipes? usually wipes contain a lot of irritants eg. alcohol

I'd love to try Chanel foundations myself but never got to it

good luck!

When my skin is acting up I find the best thing to do is to take yourself off everything, then slowly start to incorporate one thing at a time and wait for a reaction to figure out which isn't working.

I'm sure you can return and exchange if necessary.
