Cheerleading Makeup

Heyy! I don't know if any of you know what cheerleading makeup looks like or any of that, but for my high school team I was wondering if anyone had ideas for cool makeup we could do. Our uniform colours are Maroon, black, white, and gold.
I wasn't sure how to incorperate those colours together. I'd most likely only want to use two of them. Maroon is a weird colour for eye makeup,so I wasn't sure how to handle it. There are different things we could do too...
however, for football we probably would use something more toned down than the glitter makeup, considering i don't think that's allowed. but shimmery eyeshadows might be. i plan on buying from www.razzledazzlecosmetics.com

anyway.
any ideas? :]
i appreciate your input.

when i was a cheerleader (oh soooo long ago) i remember we all looked like those sports fanatics that they show on tv during games. lol. our colors were green and white and we had little green and white stars on the sides of our faces from the temple down to the cheekbone.

unfortunately i don't think my team would be too into looking like those sports fanatics.
they should be though.
maybe glitter IS allowed at football games? i have no idea. i need to ask my coach.

i'm not sure...should i just do like...
maroon on the lid
and then white from the crease up? i have no idea. haha

that could work. i would say maybe like.. white on the lid and maroon in the crease? we used to do that (but hunter green in the crease).. and the white was more of a silver, i suppose.

oh! and i went to that razzle dazzle site and the girl up on top with the star on her cheek.. that's kinda like what we did but we did a bunch of really small ones.

would that be too much?

what about like a medium maroon color on the lid, a darker one in the crease, gold liner and white for a brow highlight?

maybe... it only depends if we're allowed glitter or not
but otherwise i like it! =]

...i definitely like the star idea though. hopefully they'll go for it.
thank you !

even if you're not allowed glitter, you can do the same color placement but with regular e/s... i would go for theater makeup so it's REALLY SUPER pigmented.

Heh- I was a cheerleader all through ms and hs, an all*star cheerleader, and now I coach.

The glitter usually only depends on if you're competeing, then whether you're competing UCA, NCA, etc. IIRC, UCA has strict rules regarding glitter when used on mats, NCA was a little more leinent.

If it's just for football games, those rules are made up usually by the district. If you're on a regular grass field, usually anything goes. Turf has different rules, as does if you cheer on a track around the field, as those are areas that the schools want to upkeep. You'd probably need to check with your coach or Athletic Director for that.

Remember though: cheer makeup is different than 'regular' makeup. Everyday makeup is colorful and fun and doesn't have to match what you're wearing- cheer makeup often is just an extension of the uniform. My best suggestion is just to take your team colors and play with them- especially if you can do it while wearing the uniform. It'll always look weird when in "normal" clothes, but if you're in the uniform it's different, you know?

Definately check out all*star team websites for makup ideas- I swear to you these girls have like makeup artists come and do their makeup. It's always SO freaking awesome!!

hello,
i know when i was in high school i cheered to, our colors where just red and white
for games during basketball season and football season me and the other cheerleaders would put on black waterproof massacra to give your eyes that dark sexy look, and on the eye lids as eyeshadow we would use pink eyeshadow and blend with dark pink eyeshadow in the crease of the eye to give it some red look on the eyes, we would use a little bit of pink blush and hot pink or red lipstick/lipgloss we also did this during competition season to.

also we had red star stickers we put on the corners of our eyes and we used stage make up to last a long time when we sweat and stuff
