China Marker????

So I was reading MAC Pixie's post about "What are Shadeblenders?", and I thought of something I'd been wanting to ask for a while now..What are China Markers?? What do they "do"..lol! It's the same story w/ me;(as w/ MAC Pixie...) I missed the boat on these when they were out because I wasn't buying *much* MAC when this product was out (certainly not the amnts. I'm buying now

), so I don't know anything about it at all...other than it was either LE or D/C'd. Thanks for any replys, gals

I missed out on these too, but I recall a thread on this a few months ago. They're eyeliners that are a bit thicker than the normal ones, and I think they peel back in the same way actual china markers do (i.e. there's no sharpening involved but the exterior can be peeled off in layers to expose more of the actual marker). Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!

I remember these, they were like a crayon liner, they had a pointy tip and I think they didn't peel back but had a plastic case around it, you didn't sharpen them though. But I only remember seeing them online so I could be wrong about that part. They were always on ebay for real cheap cause no one really liked them , they were like a kohl crayon so they had a tendency to smear. I'll see if I can't find a pic. They came in a navy, a black and a brown I think.

Here is a pic of a China Marker. Mine is Savage Land (reddish brown colour). They come in a plastic tube. They were probably ahead of their time. They might sell better now. It is the item below my Fluidlines:

I always thought that too maybe, like with the popularity of Clinique cream liners and other kohl-type pencils. Smokey eyes are so much bigger of a thing now than they were then.

I heard that they are a really hard to find item & rare & people will now pay a lot on ebay for them! I think i read this in a thread from here about which are the most HTF items......but i could be wrong LOL!
