Chosing the right Mac Foundation?

I used Studio Fix for years and I liked the coverage but I always felt a bit dry looking and too powdery. I've used Studio tech and again liked the coverage but the formula ends up sitting in my pores.

I'm oily but sensitive with a lot of red in my face (all over cheeks, nose, chin, forehead) so I need a medium coverage and something that is buildable so somedays I can be lighter and others heavier. I also want something that isn't ultra matte looking just a bit natural.

Do you think Studio Fix fluid and blot powder would be a good combo for me?

I only use Select SPF 15 liquid foundation, so I can't speak for Studio Fix Fluid

I reckon blot powder is a great thing to have. I carry my blot powder pressed anywhere I go!

i'd give SFF a try. its a natural matte finish, so it looks like your skin but has a bit of a matte finish. its also a medium-full coverage, and builds easily without getting cakey. then use blot to touch up with when you get shiny.

i think studio fix fluid is your best bet. are you using a primer? that might also help with your makeup settling into your pores.

Hi, I have trouble with primers because of my sensitivity and also finding a primer that works with my skin most are too siliconey. I laugh at myself because I always use a primer or a mattifying lotion on my clients and think they are great but when I use them on myself I hate it.

At the moment I am using Maybelline Pure Minerals foundation, which I really like but as its getting colder and winter seems to be coming early this year I am thinking of changing to a fluid.
