Chromeglass

Is anyone else not too keen on these? I have Chromaliving and Metaphysical. In comparison to Jude's swatches and some FOTD's I saw recently-the way they look on me is totally different. On me they look very metallic and like a bad frost l/s!

I haven't been wearing liner with them so I'm not sure if that would make a difference. But I'm kind of disappointed in how they look.

Tips, tricks, thoughts-???

I learned. A little goes a LOOONG way! Just try a little also use it alone. I mean Im a guy and I know its supposed to be suttle on me, but also I think it looks better that way. My friend tried on Sunmetal, and it had too much so she blotted her lips once and it was all nice and sexy after. So I suggest just use a little.

I don't love them either...especially for 16 bucks.

I apply just a little bit and then rub my lips together to sheer it out.

Maybe try mixing it with a clear gloss before applying or put a clear gloss over it.

Mettalic does nothing for me. If I had unlimited funds, I might pick some up. But since I dont *love* them, I'm saving for collections I'm super excited about. BTW, Jude looks great in everything, so I cant really base my purchases on that!! Lol. :-]

i didnt like them. i found out it has same effect if i mix clear lipglass they sell in tubes with pigments.

I'm so in love with Chromaliving!

The brush pick up too much product, you can use it like that but it will be way too metallic and frosty! On my pics that's what I did... to show up the color. But in real life, I try to use less, and 'blot' with my fingers.

I tried the ones I was going to buy at the counter, and didn't like them at all since they were very metallic..and for $16.50 each? Ouch.

Blotting definitely makes it fabulous! I was in a rush last night and smeared on Pinkocrasy and jumped in my boyfriend's car. Then I pulled down the visor to use the mirror and realized I looked a bit like a hooker. I blotted it with a tissue, and it was STUNNING. Yes, a little definitely goes a long way! I also bought the prep& prime lip stuff because, while c/g lasts longer on me than a lot of other lip products, it was still wearing off a bit too fast for me, and P&P is awesome! Even when the metallic "glazed look" wears off, you're left with a sheer stain--gorgeous!

I finally made my way to my MAC store yesterday to check these out. I didn't like any of them, not a one! I loved (LOVED) the way they felt on my hand, but I was so disappointed by the colors

I couldn't justify spending $16 on something I knew I'd never use. The last couple collections I haven't really like anything from. Everything looks so similar to other MAC stuff I have. Hopefully they'll get some much needed more original colors soon!!

i only bought chromaliving and i love it. the other colors do nothing for me.

I tested them and didn't like them. The metallic sheen will definately make me look like crap... and I find the texture a bit too thick for my liking.
Money saved!

LOL I did the same thing! When I looked it the mirror (In my boyfriend's car... too!!) it was too metallic and copper! (It was Uberpeach) It's way better when you blot it!

my bf hasnt seen me wear it, I wonder what he`ll say. I remember he said when I kissed him with Bare Fetish, he though it was sticky. HAHA maybe, if I put too much chromeglass on my lips and wanted to blot, id kiss him so I dont waste it ;P

Not Feelin' them either, I bought one (can't remember which one, maybe Metaphysical).... Hate it... looks like crap on me. Maybe I'll try blotting tonight and then take that sucker back...

I'm so underwhelmed with these as well.
The only 2 I come close to sortof liking are Show Coral & Hot Chrome. But even then. Eh?

I purchased Hot Chrome and Metaphysical. Haven't worn metaphysical yet (other then when I tried it on at the counter) but I have used Hot Chrome. I applied it as lightly as possible (personally I HATE brush applicators) and blotted. I thought it looked really pretty, got a couple compliments on it too.

i got prize shine and show coral. they're okay but only with a little on, when theres too much it looks like i got hit with a spaceship. but when i do pick out my lip color for the day i am always like eh...i dont feel like using them cause they dont really go with me/the clothes i wear that well.

I got Technobeet, Metalphysical, and Sunmetal. I wore Sunmetal with Flash of Flesh l/g over top to tone down the metallic look, and I thought it looked really pretty. I also tried not to apply too much because they are a bit overpowering.

Does anyone know if these are going to be permanent items?
