Hi,
I am not sure if this is in the right place, feel free to move it!

okay, did anyone other than me notice that clarity and electric eel are similar to each other?? i mean when i swatched both in my hand i couldn't tell which is which! I first realised this when i was storing all the blues together and noticed that they are the same colour!!
I heard that the reason jewel tone is discontinued because clarity is coming out??

what do you guys think??

I completely agree! They are like twins...it's so funny because I was holding Electric Eel and the Mac makeup artist said ' oh so you saw our new matte eyeshadow clarity!' uh huh..i know that the texture is different, clarity is easier to apply than electric eel but the difference isn't worth $14!

The major difference is the texture and how much easier Clarity is to apply than Electric Eel. MAC has gotten so many complaints from people who love Electric Eel but cannot seem to blend it or even apply it.. so I think that's why they made one so similar in the new collection of revamped Mattes. I can see them discontinuing Electric Eel sometime in the near future because Clarity is so much more consumer friendly.. but no word on that yet.

Great! One less thing I need to get. I couldn't care less about the ease of application. It's not worth another $10 (Pro Pan).

i don't have a problem with jewel tone. it seems to blend with me fine

maybe it's because the color is so intense that i use a very light hand when applying??? i don't know but i love jewel tone & since i've read this post, i ain't getting clarity. $14 is a lot to waste for a dupe of something i already have.
