i wasn't sure where to put this..

I got the duo-fibre brush that came in the Holliday face brush kit . I went to clean it with MAC brush cleaner, adn of course got tons of blackish junk out, but it it taking forever to dry. Its been over 24hours now & its still not dry in the middle. Does anyone have some good hints on how to clean/dry this brush? Thanks!!

I am not sure as I never have that problem with my 187. Maybe you did not dilute the cleaner well enough? That makes me worried though as my so also purchased a set for me online. How is the quality of all their brushes other than the cleaning problem? Do you like them?

I have the Basic Patternmaker brushes and the Pro Novel Twist brushes. I love all of mine, and they work just as good as the normal ones. However, I have to admit, the only one I dislike is the 187SE. It's clearly made of different materials when compared to the full size one. I have both the full size and the SE and I much prefer the full size. However, the other brushes are REALLY good. I have touched and compared the SE testers at work and they're really nice other than the one I mentioned before.

^^I agree. I have a mini 187 as well, and there's black dye that stains the white bristles everytime I wash it. So far, I haven't found a way to remove it, but I'll keep you posted.

the mini 187SE does have black dye that keeps running. mine from holiday last year still runs when it's washed.

i get around it by washing it, then rinsing and rinsing and rinsing until the water is as clear as i can get it. then i dab the bristles with a towel so i can get some of the water out.

all my 187s take longer to dry than most of my other brushes - 2 days when it's warm and 3 days when it's cold. i'm not sure why, and don't have a solution for this problem.

I really like the new sets they seem better than the last set I bought, I really like the little snakeskin canister they came in..

I got last years sets and I found the best way was just to let the water run clean.. after the first time of washing it.. it should stop bleeding I've only had it do that once all the other times its never had the problem again.

when having the brushes drying have the heads off where ever they are set they dry faster this way. I can wash mine and they will be fine to use the next morning.

Probably of no help to original poster, but my Lancome skunk brush still "bleeds" after washing. I've had it for 5 years now.

the dye will still probably run after several washes. it's normal. Use the MAC brush cleanser after you shampoo it; it cuts drying time dramatically. (my SE187 dry time is like five to seven hours)
