Colour recommendations for a newbie!

Hi everyone.

I'm new here and quite new to the world of Mac.
I never wear coloured eyeshadow or much colour on my lips for that matter and I'd like to get into all that because Mac has so many colours I'd love to try.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any colour recommendations really, lips and eyes, colours to bring out my eyes, etc. I know people probably get annoyed with that question so I'm sorry but I thought I'd give it a try as I'm just a beginner and everyone here seems so experienced

I'm NC15
Dark brown/black hair
Dark brown eyes
Cool skin tone

I'm pretty new to experimentation too but some colours I have that I love and will always try to have in my collections are:
Naked Lunch,
Shroom,
Nylon
All That Glitters

They're all fairly neutral but go with all the accent colours I've gotten.

Hope that helps a little. And I'll be stalking your thread to see what other advice you get

I'm sort of new to the whole MAC thing, but not new to makeup. In your picture you have pink/peachy looking shirt on that the color looks really good with your hair and complexion.

IMO I would play around with some pinks like Sushi Flower, and some purple shade. Maybe throw in some green.

Do you have a MAC counter near you? I would just go there and tell the MA to throw some color on you and see what looks good.

brown eyes look great in greens, golds, and purples
check out humid, greensmoke, amberlights, and nocturnelle.. i think all those are very versatile!

i have very similar coloring and purple always looks the best on me. I generally use urban decay eyeshadow when using purple though so i cant really reccomend any MAC shades except for parfait amour, which is a really pretty purple
