Consistency of paints

Are all of them about the same? I've got Baselight but I find it thinner/harder to work with than my UD PP, so I'm unsure about trying out Bare Canvas as my main base/primer and any other paints to bring out certain colours. I'd really like to get BC to help out my B2M and it's more accessible than UD PP, but I won't get it if it's thin like Baselight. The messiness of the tube ooze is already a strike against! =( - but the main thing is its consistency.

Thanks for any and all comments! =D

It seems to depend on the humidity/ambient heat of storage, how they've been stored in transit, the relative positions of the stars, etc etc etc.

Most of the time I find them quite thick and chunky, but in the middle of a humid Sydney summer, my Flammable paint will suddenly turn luxuriously smooth and runny.

*lol* Perhaps I should wait till closer to my birthday, then, in hopes of a better pick! =P Thanks for replying. =D

Hrm, looks like I'll stick back to UD PP if it can vary that much, unless some extra spending money plops in my lap. Anyone else have thoughts on this tho? I don't want to give up after one comment!

i have both paints and UD PP. PP is definitely more runny, but i prefer the paints. I've never had any problems with them going on smoothly (i have 4). The matte ones (like BC) seem to be a bit thicker than the shimmers like Chartru and mauvism.
If you're trying to boost your B2M don't bother with paints, they last forever. I/ve been using BC almost daily for over 6 months and have barely made a dent in it. You only need a tiny amount.

i have found that my base light paint is really thin too. But I also own a lot of the other paints and my base light seems to be the only one with this problem. I don't know why that is. All of my other ones have a fairly thick and easy to work with consistency.
