Coral eyes with new hairstyle

EDIT: What is it with my FOTD's getting dragged out of the depths of time?

And always the bad ones. haha

Hi again ladies. Today I got my hair styled and foiled! It's now less reddish and more streaked. I LOVE going to the salon so much. I actually like my old straight look better, but I can get that easily enough by not curling it. I tried my Stila rose moon eyeshadows to match the bright coral Victoria's Secret jeans I wore. Unfortunately, I didn't get back to take a picture until after 3 hours of work and three hours driving in the hot Seattle weather (plus the salon visit). So I was a bit sweaty and my makeup wasn't as fresh as it could have been. I tried filling my brows a bit, only lined my upper lid, and used less mascara than usual. I usually wear cool colors. Do these warm ones work for me? Should I have stuck with dark colors? As usual, I'd love any advice for what would work better. Thanks again!

The best front open-eyed pic I took, and I still look a bit ... off.

I'm not sure about the eye colour on you, would probably look better if you combined it with a darker shade in the crease?

Nice hair

The hair looks fab! The general shape looks the same, but the slight curl really works to soften your features.

Brows look good, filling them or using a brow set in really helps finish your look. This next part MIGHT just be the photo. I love the color of the eyeshadow, but I'm not sure if I like the placement of it. Personally I wouldn't bring it up [above the crease] so much, instead I would bring it just slightly above the crease, then using a blending brush, blend upwards to soften & define.

Have you tried MAC paints yet?

I was afraid to write this, so first of all, know that I just want to help. Also, before I can speak freely, let me tell you I love boys wearing makeup, and I don’t know what’s your thing exactly, but my best friends for the past 10 years were all gay guys.

So.

What’s your thing? Do you want to look like a girl, or do you want to just look like a guy wearing makeup?

If the first is the case, you need to do a better job covering your beard. It looks better than before, but now the skin is much lighter than the rest of your face, and still showing the beard. I know drags have MANY ways to fix this, you just have to find out. You also have to learn how to elaborate your makeup better. There are tons of websites teaching a lot of stuff. Here you can learn very basic and good application techniques: http://www.freewebs.com/mspicky/

If you want to look like a guy (gay or not) wearing makeup, I would seriously consider changing your hair style. To be quite honest, I would change it anyway. But that’s just *my* opinion, other people like the girls above think it is perfectly fine. I don’t think this style does much for your face shape. I think something in layers and messier would be more flattering.

Hmm. The reaction to my hair seems mixed, and the consensus is I should have done something else with my eyes.

I actually just got a ton of MAC pigment samples from the amazingly generous medicredfearn. I haven't tried any yet (I don't want to waste them), but I'm looking forward to it and planning looks.

Thanks a lot for the website, capspock! I actually agree with you regarding my hairstyle. As for what my deal is, maybe I should write it out in my profile, since that's come up in half my posts or so.

I'm not sure exactly what my deal is, but I'd like to look feminine if possible. I'm still confused about what direction my life will take (if I'd be a good girl or not, etc.). Still, looking like a girl has more appeal than looking like a guy wearing makeup. I really hate my facial hair. It's dark, thick and grows quickly. Would waxing be better than shaving? I'd get it lasered off, but that's so expensive and I'm very poor. I would love to learn to do more elaborate makeup. That's one reason I joined this group. I'm definitely going to study that website you provided!

Yeah, well, I understand. You don't need to know anything, but just knowing you do want to be feminine helps a lot. And then even if you one day find out about what the deal is, you can still change your mind after some time. Life isn't static, and is positive to be flexible.

Look, even if you don't want to be a drag, for example, you can learn lots of stuff with them.... I remember I leart how to cover my brows using glue with a drag friend of mine, more than 10 years ago! We didn't have ANY makeup but a black eye kohl.... he covered my brows with glue, then put lots of talc on my face, the he did a lot of contouring and he made totally different brows, and voila! I was the coolest vampire!!! Ahaha But of course he had a lot of practice using close to nothing!

You can do a search on Google like "crossdressing resources" or "drag queen resources", and find a ton of tips.

I think your hair looks really cute! I suppose you could have done a little more with the eyes, (maybe a darker crease shade or something) but for the most part I think the colors work on you.

I am lovin the corals on you

Plus, I think your hair looks cute! I kind of liked it a little better when you flicked it out, instead of curl it under though, but it looks good either way. Anyway, love it

I really like your hair! I think it looks fabulous!!!!!

As for your MU...I *do* like the color you selected for your eyes...however, I agree with the advice that you could use a darker crease color..perhaps maybe "TRAX" could've worked well with this (???).

Anyway, our opinions don't really count....it's whether or not YOU like it!!!!
