Couple of MAC retail questions

First, how do I get pigment samples? Are they something given, or sold at the retail counters or do I get them only from private sellers?

Second.. I ordered the Pharoh and Otherworldly paintpots from MAC online and was sent two Otherworldlys. When I called to request an exchange I was sent my Pharoh and told to keep the extra item. Now, that's excellent customer service and I'm thrilled but I don't need two Otherworldly paintpots. Would I be able to exchange one for another item at a retail store? It is brand new in the box, I just don't have a receipt.

no you can't exchange it for another item in the store but you can do a swap or sell it here.

Samples are available at the counter depending on your relationship with the MA or your purchasing power that day. Sometimes MA's won't make them. It all depends. Your best bet is to purchase samples from sellers in the Clearance Bin area of the site. Please keep swap/sell transactions in the proper area of the forum or the thread will be moved. No problem, I had no intention of trying to swap or sell anything on this thread, just wanted to know what I could do with the extra paintpot. Now that I know, I can go to the proper place.
