MAC Brea is selling the Icon collection today. Apparently you can't get any of the lipsticks with B2M [edit: n/m I guess you CAN get them and I probably just got faulty info

], so I ended up paying for both Strawberry Blonde and Sharp Beige.

...and the Thunder Eyes quad.

...and a Studio Lights.

Thankfully, Culturebloom doesn't really look like my kind of thing.

Really? That doesn't make sense...I always save my B2Ms for the newest collections & I've never had a problem. Maybe the MA you had didn't know it was ok?

uh... what? the manager of the store totally said this to me. would it be sketch if i just went to a different mac to return and re-get? cause i'm so sure the girl is gonna look at me all sideways if i go back. they're kinda mean there.

or actually, should i just contact customer service on this? i don't want to return one of the lipsticks brand new if they're just gonna toss it.

Well they had special packaging on Belle Azure last year & I B2M'd my stuff, and if Moonrevel got hers then....I'd say they didn't know. You could at least call them & ask them to double-check on that for you. Wouldn't hurt!

I know they're so mean there, I don't think I've ever gone to that store once w/o someone getting an attitude. I have had great experiences in there BUT once I think 'wow, they were actually nice today' I get a *itchy SA at the register.

there's one guy who works there who's an absolute sweetheart and i'm about to write to MAC customer service to tell them how great he is. and the girl who had originally helped me today was also really nice. i guess i'm just sour and i find it really stank that the higher-up (i'm assuming she was a manager) either had the wrong info about B2M or she couldn't be bothered to at least look it up -- and i was literally there the day before with an MA who even said she recognized me, and i dropped another $75 (and even she made a sideways comment like i was about to ask for a pigment sample and beg for something free). it honestly made me feel stupid for spending my money in there.

and i'm not gonna drive all the way to SCP in costa mesa when brea mall is like two miles away. it just makes me want to stay away from the store altogether.
