Danse Looks

So what do you think about the Danse facechart looks? They are definitely subtle. I like the Classical and Pas-de-Deux.

I am putting you all up to a dare. Go ahead and do the Danse look before you head into the office tomorrow and see what people say!

It would probably be something like, "Damn, did you trip and fall in your makeup? Do you need some coffee? Seriously, have you seen yourself?"

You make me laugh!! I thought the same thing when I saw them.

I could just see a construction supt. trying to maintain his composure while talking to me about electricity...

But I did like the classical and pas de deux looks. Which I know I could never pull off because I doubt if those subtle colors would show up on me! (That's why I didn't get any of the shadows; only the pigments and glissade msf)

I copied/saved and printed the face charts anyway because, as a change, I want to try some of these same color placements with other colors I have.

^*lol* I'd probably do it by falling into my makeup! I didn't think they'd bother including that in the looks, but...uh...sure, why the heck not? Not like it costs anything, just makes everything more artistic.

Classical is my favourite. I might try a version of it tomorrow with what I have - probably just end up with a blob of taupe, but I'll try at least! Pas-de-Deux is also pretty, Curtsy's too cutesy with all that blue (at least, I can't bring it up that high), and En Pointe is too bland. It'd actually make me look kinda dead, not a good thing!

I love the En Pointe look! Its very classic and pretty. I agree with you about the Danse one though....it's interesting on the model but jeez, I'd NEVER actually DO that haha!

I love the Pas-de-Deux look.. I didn't buy what MAC uses for the look but I think I can scrounge up similar colors for eyes. It may wind up being my first FOTD in months!

this is one of the only times where i thought that all the face charts were ugly. Esp the first one i mean wtf i understand the model was wearing something like that but why the face chart nobody is going to ever use that haha

Oh I'm totally doing the Danse look for the first day of school.

"Define your brows with Scene 1 Eye Shadow using your 266 Brush followed by a sweep of Clear Brow Finisher. Highlight your browbone with Jeté Eye Shadow with your 242 Brush. Apply Scene 1 Eye Shadow on the inner corner of your eyelids, followed by blending Swan Lake and Rondelle Eye Shadows on the center of your lids – all using your 239 Brush. Blend Aire-de-blu Pigment to the inner and outer crease and Pastorale Pigment to the center crease using a 219 Brush. Line your lower lashes with a small dose of Pastorale Pigment (outer corners) and French Grey Eye Shadow to the inner and center lash with your 219 Brush. Coat your lashes with All Black Fibre Rich Lash mascara using your 205 Brush."

ummmm.... they forgot to mention the part where you let a 2 year old scribble on your face >

what a look.

in all seriousness, i don't think it even works that well on the model, let alone translating to anything else.

I got what I needed to do the Classical look. Well, the eyes, anyway. I hope I'm able to do the look properly.

The MAC website hasn't opened for me for a few days now (can't figure out why!) and I'd love to see the new charts - any chance of someone posting them here?

The MAC website is a disgrace, you'd think they'd be able to afford a better server...wtf

I haven't had any problem with the site. Have visited it daily.

Since the Danse release I've been trying to view the collection/looks online but no luck, just an error message - great timing MAC!

I figure it must be the website because the UK version (which hasn't got Danse up yet

) is working fine. Patience is a virtue I'm not sure I have
