So, I have picked up NW20 concealer, I wear NC35 Studio Fix...and I still can't seem to get rid of these dark circles under my eyes! Any suggestions? Different concealer shade? Different kind of concealer? I can't take these dark circles...like below. The pic is blurry but you can still see them

The only concealer that works for me and it was suggested by one of the members on here is Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer....

So I went and tried different foundation shades and my perfect match is an NC42. BIG difference from NC35! I knew I wasn't crazy when I told the MAs that I felt like it made me too white. Compared to the NC42 on my face it made me look pale and colorless and ashy.

So anyway, because I'm an NC should I got for a NW concealer? I'm going back to the CCO today and will look up a darker shade of NW concealer I guess.

No you need an NW concealer to counteract the darkness, either NW20 or NW 25. Which concealer are you using? Maybe you need one with more coverage. I actually use 2 concealers under my eyes. First I do a layer of Studio Finish, then my foundation, then a layer of Select Moisturecover. It sounds like a lot, but it doesn't look like a lot & it covers perfectly.

I'm using the Select Moisture one. I'm going to exchange it today for an NW25. Does the Studio Finish one provide more cover?

Yes the Studio Finish is actually a full coverage concealer, while the Moisturecover has sheer to medium coverage. I think you will be much happier with the Studio Finish.

I'm a NC 43 in Mac's Studio Fix and I have really bad dark circles esp. my right eye. I use Mac's select cover up in NW35 first then Mac's Studio Lights in Sand which was LE. The Studio Finish concealer looks to cakey on me especially since I have some skin folds at my inner eye. I like the MUFE concealer palette because you can always find a match in that by mixing colors...kinda pricey but we're never the same skintone around the year. Hope that helps

I use the MAC Pro Peach Select Cover-Up Color Correcting Concealer with Smashbox's Photo-Op Under Eye Brightener underneath. It works the best for me (I have terrible hereditory dark circles). I find a good powder for setting under eye concealer is the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural, because it is so sheer and light but also adds a touch of extra coverage. I've previously tried Benefit's Boi-oing but it was kinda grainy and touch to blend and YSL's Touche Eclat which, in my opinion, is a massive gimmick and does nothing for brightening that area of the face.

I exchanged for NW25 in Studio Finish. I'll try it out tomorrow. Thanks!

I think I'm also going to try one of the under eye illuminators...I've seen two mentioned so far. Any more suggestions??

Right now I don't know of any to suggest because the MAC ones that were mentioned were LE & not available anymore. You might want to check out a MAC Pro store though, they might carry the color correctors.

Is this just for dark circles because I really detest the hollows under my eyes. I have tried everything and my derm says the only thing for those are fillers *gasp*

I just received Select Moisture concealer in my online haul today. I'm hoping that it will work for me since the full coverage one was too much.

Good luck in your search!

I also wanted to ask: What CCO do you go to? I am in NoVa as well

I lost a lot of weight and one of the places it really showed was under my eyes...

I ended up getting filler for them and it made me look 5 years younger again instantly...

but yeah, it's very scary to get needles in that area...

I have a VERY good doctor & he's not the cheapest...

I have the same issue plus puffiness, I think that bobbi brown sheer finish lose powder in loose golden orange really helps me there, its a lot lighter than my skintone. i press it on with a wedge sponge whilst my concealer is moist and brush off excess after a few minutes

I may PM you later...I dread this but I've been researching and it's the only thing thus far to get rid of bag/hollows/pockets. I have spent enough money on products that I am ashamed to say I could have gotten the procedure done twice in Los Angeles.
