Different fluidline - different texture?

ok so I have two fluidlines so far, rich ground and macroviolet.
I love macroviolet but I have the feeling it's less pigmented and not so smooth as rich ground. it's neary impossible to line the inner rim with it because it get all clumpy and I have to line the upper lashline at least twice so the color looks even.

anybody else noticed that?

yes, I have the problem with the Macroviolet but only in the waterline area.
I use a wider e/l brush and this helps.

I use the 212, does it get any wider? LOL *sigh* it's such a shame, macroviolet makes my eyes so greeeeeen. but I just ordered prunella yesterday, I hope it's close, so I can do a stress-free "oh I'm late for work and only have 5 min for my MU" application

but rich ground is perfectly pigmented and smooth. I wonder if macroviolet is the only one that "fails". *hugs maccroviolet*

i think it's thetexture. i think rich ground is a matte and so is black track. i have the same problem with sweet sage, its really hard to get it to go on the waterline, usually impossible.

rich ground is a metallic, it's dipdown that is the matte brown.

sweet sage has this problem sometimes, as does frostlite.

hmm... A push brush might not be able to apply enough of the FL to waterline. I know when I have tried with a push brush it always balls up.
I am really bad with describing this so....here is what I use It's a Pixi brush. One end is a push brush (similar to the 212) the over end is wide e/l brush. Use the darker side. The brush is semi-stiff but very soft.

So you can see the size of it (ignore my nasty cuticles)

I have found this brush really helps with getting color like Macroviolet and Iris eyes to not ball up on the waterline. I also have the same problem with Blitz & Glitz (yes I know it's not eye safe)

Here it is on Sephora. BTW it NEVER looked that pointy!

Have you tried to take a bit of the FL out and let it warm up on the back of your hand? This might help too.

Rich ground is my favorite- it goes on the best. I like macroviolet but it doesn't go on as well as rich ground for me either.

The mattes are the most pigmented, some pearls are well pigmented like RG, but as people said above macroviolet and sweet sage are much less so.

When I want to use macroviolet on the waterline (I do this for RG too) I just dip the end of my finger in and then sweep it across. You can control how much pressure exactly this way and theres no bristles to tickle anything. Its easy to get the fluidline off the end of your finger too afterwards, I find it very hard to remove all traces of it from the back of my hand or anywhere else though!

I love the texture and smoothness of Non-Conformist. I agree with the brush thing. Different brushes work differently on the fluidlines. I'm still having problems with the frostlite.
