I have light/medium olive skin, dark brown hair and eyes, and deep mauve lips. Im an NC30/35, and the most noticeable thing about my complexion is probably the dark brownish purple rim around my lips. It distorts all but the most opaque colors so much, ughhh! (Not that I don't like the way they look when I'm not wearing lipstick) Obviously l/s recs would be very much appreciated, but any other recs would be great too. If you're an NC25-40 with the same overall complexion as me, and you just happen to have some pics of you wearing your favorite shades of l/s, e/s, nail polish, or whatever, I really wanna see em! Gotta get out of a color rut, and I'm not too proud to bite off you

i'm close in complexion i think, i'll have to start posting pics again (just replaced the camera, thank GOD! lol) i've been a makeup artist for almost 10 yrs, so i play with all kinds of looks all the time...why not start easy and go with a nice emerald green and black smokey eye with a neutral blush and nude lip...i like kelly green pigment too, it's gorgeous on med/darker skin, purples are nice so are shimmery golden shades and most all jewel tones. for the cheeks i like to use either bronzer or a nice peachy-pink for daytime, and lips can be whatever from bold to subdued. i'd like to see what you mean about a rim around your lips, i personally think that's pretty if you line the lips with a darker color then use the same color all over the lips, then use a slightly lighter shade in the same family as lipstick and then follow it up with a nice shimmery gloss...play around, post some pics...xoxo

NC30-37 yellow untertone... like goldmine! or woodwinked on eyes, sunbasque for cheeks, sweetie for lips (but haven't found the perfect ls, because my lips are so red, that every ls seems to be red )
